It was revealed that if someone cultivated the Moon God Flower poison into Xuan Yin Heart Sutra, they could remove the Mind Control from others. Xiao Yiqing, knowing Jia Ruo possessed this skill, realized that to save Shu Jingrong, he had no choice but to send her to Moon Sect.

Despite concerns from his advisors about the unknown consequences, Xiao Yiqing brought the unconscious Shu Jingrong to Moon Sect. Ming He initially refused, but Jia Ruo, acknowledging his strong desire to save Shu Jingrong, was firm. Xiao Yiqing confronted Jia Ruo, acknowledging his desire to save Shu Jingrong, given Jia Ruo's previous attempt to break into Blue Mountains. Jia Ruo agreed to take Shu Jingrong to Moon Palace, stating his intention to end the continuous conflict and prevent further casualties.

Xiao Yiqing concurred, ordering all Snow Tower forces to retreat from Blue Mountains. He privately reflected on his decision, prioritizing the greater good while expressing deep concern for Shu Jingrong. Overwhelmed, Xiao Yiqing collapsed due to severe inner energy depletion and was immediately attended to by Huang Quan. Meanwhile, Gao Mengfei was consumed by grief, his thoughts dwelling on his Senior Brother, Jia Ruo.

Nan Chu then arrived, instructing them that Snow Tower forces had retreated from Blue Mountains and were now positioned around Lingjiu Mountain.

He ordered constant, discreet monitoring of Moon Sect's activities, preparing for a full-scale assault once Xiao Yiqing gave the command. Meanwhile, Chi Xiaotai watched over the still unconscious Xiao Yiqing, lamenting his sacrifice of inner energy and the Moon Spirit for Shu Jingrong. She bitterly reflected that his kindness towards her stemmed only from her father's dying wish, while his true affection was reserved for Shu Jingrong.

Contemplating the possibility of Shu Jingrong never returning, she wondered if a future with Xiao Yiqing might be possible. She leaned in to kiss him, but Gao Mengfei entered, witnessed the moment, and quickly left, visibly distressed. Xiao Yiqing, now awake, was unaware of Chi Xiaotai's attempt. He instructed her to assist Gao Mengfei on a lookout mission, mentioning that Lady Xue would care for him. Chi Xiaotai, sensing his continued emotional distance, acknowledged his unwavering commitment to someone else.

Alone, Xiao Yiqing quietly whispered Shu Jingrong's name, making a solemn vow. He lamented his past inability to promise her a future due to his fragile health. He resolved that if Shu Jingrong returned safely, he would marry her and commit to a lifetime together, ensuring she inherited everything should he pass first. Ming He immediately warned her against any "wishful thinking" regarding Jia Ruo, prompting Shu Jingrong to retort that Ming He was the true master of deception. Shortly after, Shu Jingrong arrived, introduced herself as Shu Jingrong from Snow Tower and disciple of Bai Di, and stated her request. Xue Wen was shocked to see the Moon Spirit on Shu Jingrong and realized she was under Mind Control. Suddenly, Shu Jingrong’s poison flared, her eyes turning blue, and she attacked Xue Wen.

Guguan intervened, subduing Shu Jingrong but sustaining an injury. Jia Ruo quickly arrived, took Shu Jingrong away, and angrily confronted Ming He, accusing her of exploiting Shu Jingrong's condition for her own schemes. Ming He, defensive and heartbroken, lashed out, claiming Jia Ruo had no room in his heart for her since Shu Jingrong appeared.

She then revealed her true malicious intent: to use the poisoned Shu Jingrong to kill Xue Wen, thereby creating an irreparable rift between Xiao Yiqing and Shu Jingrong, especially as Xiao Yiqing himself had delivered Shu Jingrong to Moon Palace. Jia Ruo adamantly warned Ming He not to harm Shu Jingrong, stressing that Shu Jingrong was essential for him to recover his memories, and vowed to guard her personally.

Ming He defiantly declared that she would immediately spread the news of Shu Jingrong's attack on Xue Wen, daring Jia Ruo to either accept her actions or kill her. Back at Snow Tower, Chi Xiaotai unilaterally ordered the Snow Tower disciples guarding Lingjiu Mountain to withdraw, dismissing their posts as unnecessary and threatening their loyalty by questioning Shu Jingrong's current status.

The disciples expressed their primary allegiance to Shu Jingrong and Nan Chu, but Chi Xiaotai dismissed Shu Jingrong as no longer belonging to Snow Tower. When Nan Chu discovered Chi Xiaotai's unauthorized actions, he confronted her in front of Xiao Yiqing. Chi Xiaotai attempted to justify her actions by claiming she was reallocating guards to protect the ailing Xiao Yiqing, but Nan Chu revealed that the withdrawn forces were strategically placed to monitor Moon Sect for intelligence regarding Shu Jingrong.

Xiao Yiqing angrily reprimanded Chi Xiaotai for overstepping her authority, disrupting their plans, and leaving Shu Jingrong vulnerable. Chi Xiaotai, in tears, accused him of bias, insisting his harshness was solely due to Shu Jingrong and questioning if his care for her was merely out of obligation to her deceased father. She further argued that Shu Jingrong might not survive or return, and asked if he would forever reserve the position of Tower Lady for her.

Xiao Yiqing firmly declared that he would wait for Shu Jingrong for his entire lifetime, and his heart would never belong to anyone else. Despite Gao Mengfei's plea for leniency, Xiao Yiqing publicly stripped Chi Xiaotai of all her positions and demoted her to an ordinary disciple, asserting that Snow Tower's rules were applied fairly to all, even to himself.
