Lu Zhiyi is informed by Zhao Da that Tang Shuangli, whom Zhao Da refers to as "Jinli" (Koi), is once again drinking heavily. Lu Zhiyi dismisses the observation, stating she has nothing to do with them, and instructs Zhao Da to drive off quickly. Meanwhile, He Qizhan takes the phone call and continues to chat with Tang Shuangli. He cautions her not to get too drunk, as he would be the one stuck carrying her home.
Tang Shuangli assures him she knows her limits. He Qizhan then suggests they attend a performing workshop the following evening, a "two-for-one" deal, hoping it will help him "set free" his true self and improve his expression. Tang Shuangli agrees, playfully remarking that He Qizhan possesses a "celebrity look" and would have been famous if he had pursued acting. Tang Shuangli then admits she has almost run out of money after buying dinner.
She asks He Qizhan to help her find a job that doesn't require a resume, something simple, easy, and flexible, providing just enough to live on.
