Zhao Mengdi woke Tang Shuangli, noting they were running late for work. Although Zhao Mengdi initially planned for them to take the bus, Lu Zhiyi and He Qizhan arrived on bicycles to pick them up. As they headed to work, Lu Zhiyi and Tang Shuangli openly showed affection, which visibly annoyed Gu Ling. Later, at the office, Gu Ling tried to provoke a reaction by subtly implying Tang Shuangli had prepared coffee for Lu Zhiyi.
However, Tang Shuangli, possibly anticipating Gu Ling's move, had Zhao Mengdi deliver it instead. Gu Ling then taunted Lu Zhiyi, pointing out that Tang Shuangli hadn't even made the coffee herself. Meanwhile, He Qiaosheng saw a video circulating on an employee's phone, showing his brother He Qizhan publicly carrying Zhao Mengdi in a "princess carry" on the street.
He Qiaosheng questioned the employee about the video, expressing his concern to Ye Lin that Zhao Mengdi might have ulterior motives for his brother, especially since she also worked as a part-time streamer and used the video to hype her live streams. Ye Lin, however, cautioned He Qiaosheng not to "forget the pain after the wound has healed," suggesting he shouldn't meddle. He Qiaosheng admitted his fear that his naive brother would be exploited, reaffirming his protective stance.
Moved, Ye Lin offered to investigate Zhao Mengdi's background. Despite the corporate drama, Tang Shuangli continued to develop the Relive Childhood app. She explained the concept of a "Wish List" feature, allowing users to digitally record and revisit childhood memories, and also proposed creating offline, childhood-themed events to reconnect old friends. Lu Zhiyi found her ideas compelling and resolved to help her achieve her dream.
Later, during a discussion, Tang Shuangli subtly prodded Lu Zhiyi to express his feelings more openly, asking why the app was named "Relive Childhood," hinting that he should be more "sensible" in their relationship. Lu Zhiyi found expressing his emotions challenging. His friend He Qizhan, who had just confessed his love to Zhao Mengdi in a public restaurant with an adrenaline rush, advised Lu Zhiyi to be bolder.
He suggested that Lu Zhiyi use the upcoming company-funded "Leisure Voyage" trip to Lijiang as an opportunity to spend quality time with Tang Shuangli and openly express his feelings. Tang Shuangli was given the travel forms for the Lijiang trip, confirming it would be just her and Lu Zhiyi, much to Zhao Da's chagrin, who used to travel with Lu Zhiyi. At the company, Gu Ling tried to bribe Zhao Mengdi into spying on Tang Shuangli.
Zhao Mengdi firmly refused, asserting that her friendship and love were not for sale, regardless of the money offered. Gu Ling then taunted Zhao Mengdi about He Qizhan not having confessed his love, implying it was unrequited. Overhearing this, He Qizhan dramatically entered the room, interrupting the conversation. He declared his love for Zhao Mengdi publicly, telling her that if anyone ever asked if he loved her, she should "unhesitatingly say, 'Of course he does.'
" This left Zhao Mengdi overjoyed. Later, He Qizhan and Zhao Mengdi were out for a street-style photoshoot when they spotted Tang Shuangli and He Qiaosheng at a dai pai dong. He Qizhan immediately alerted Lu Zhiyi by sending photos. He Qiaosheng, believing Tang Shuangli liked him after she gifted him a small red bear (which was originally He Qizhan's housewarming gift to Tang Shuangli), was about to confess his feelings to her.
However, before he could, a furious Lu Zhiyi rushed over and pulled Tang Shuangli away from the scene. Outside, Lu Zhiyi confronted Tang Shuangli, accusing her of being "unreasonable" for meeting He Qiaosheng alone and questioning his intentions. Tang Shuangli, frustrated by Lu Zhiyi's possessiveness without a clear declaration of their relationship, demanded to know what she was to him. She criticized his "hot and cold" behavior and felt his actions were not enough to make her feel secure.
Lu Zhiyi recounted all the efforts he had made for her, from defending her, throwing paper airplanes at her door, changing her work location, fighting Gu Ling, celebrating her birthday, driving her to work, preventing her resignation, and getting jealous. He argued that he wouldn't do so for someone he only wanted an ambiguous relationship with. When Tang Shuangli still responded with "not enough," she kissed him, explaining it was "her answer."
Lu Zhiyi then passionately kissed her back and explicitly confessed his love, solidifying their relationship. Tang Shuangli was very happy. Later that evening, both Ye Lin and Gu Ling got drunk at a bar. A slurring Ye Lin called He Qiaosheng, and Gu Ling called Lu Zhiyi, who answered on speakerphone to avoid misunderstanding with Tang Shuangli. The bartender explained that Gu Ling had deleted all her contacts except Lu Zhiyi’s.
Lu Zhiyi and Tang Shuangli, along with He Qiaosheng, rushed to the bar. He Qiaosheng tried to sober up Ye Lin, who was acting childishly, but she spat out the water he offered. Gu Ling, meanwhile, began a drunken rant against Tang Shuangli, accusing her of stealing Lu Zhiyi and questioning why Lu Zhiyi was attracted to "people close to He Qiaosheng" – specifically mentioning He Qiaosheng as Lu Zhiyi's strongest rival and his best friend's brother.
To prevent further escalation, Lu Zhiyi asked Tang Shuangli to leave, then carried a belligerent Gu Ling out of the bar. Tang Shuangli left feeling dejected. He Qiaosheng helped a dazed Ye Lin leave shortly after. In a flashback, Lu Zhiyi, He Qiaosheng, and another friend named Daming surprised He Qizhan for his 18th birthday at an internet cafe. They sang "Happy Birthday," bringing a cake and candles. Lu Zhiyi explained that he knew He Qizhan would go to an internet cafe first after becoming an adult.
