As she slept, He Qiaosheng quietly covered her with a blanket and observed her. Meanwhile, Lu Zhiyi arrived at He Qiaosheng's house and was met by Ye Lin.
He explained he was looking for He Qiaosheng and asked if anyone else was inside, to which Ye Lin confirmed there was. She then suggested they go for a drink instead, implying that He Qiaosheng was likely with Tang Shuangli and that directly confronting them would create an awkward situation for everyone.
