Jin Xia wept by the sea, consumed by grief. Nan Hua approached her, offering comfort and a jacket against the cold wind. He gently held her, telling her that separation in life and death is a natural part of existence, and while he couldn't expect her to be as accustomed to it as he was due to his long life, the greater regret was not having a proper goodbye. He urged her to spend their remaining days together happily.

Hearing this, Jin Xia decided they should hold their wedding sooner. She proposed moving it up to the following week. Nan Hua initially hesitated, feeling his impending disappearance would only burden her, but Jin Xia insisted it wouldn't, even lightheartedly mentioning modern views on remarriage and her need for him. Jin Xia shared their plan with Ding Yanhai and Jiang Xiaochuan, asking for their help with the preparations.

Ding Yanhai anxiously asked Xiaochuan if there was any way to save Nan Hua. Xiaochuan explained that natural energy sources like thunder, wind, water, or solar power were insufficient to sustain the life force of ancient people. She added that ancient technology surpassed modern capabilities by millions of years, making contemporary methods for recharging them impossible. Despite this grim reality, everyone readily agreed to help with the wedding preparations.

Jin Xia announced she would begin working on the wedding attire immediately and would need help acquiring materials, planning to start construction the next day. Ding Yanhai and Xiaochuan agreed to assist with procuring materials and planning the venue, emphasizing the urgency given the limited time. That night, while Nan Hua rested, Jin Xia, inspired by the scent of a sachet Nan Hua had given her, began designing the wedding attire.

Xiaochuan saw the design and found it incredibly familiar, remarking on its strong resemblance to the past attire of the ancient figure known as High Immortal Nan Hua. She was stunned, tears welling up as she realized that Jin Xia, the person she had been searching for for so long, was indeed the one Li Chuchen (Nan Hua's ancient identity) had waited a thousand years for.

To complete the wedding attire within the week, Jin Xia enlisted the help of her former colleagues. They enthusiastically volunteered their time as a wedding gift, refusing payment. Nan Hua, despite his weakening condition (which caused him to feel cold even in summer and need warm clothing), insisted on accompanying Jin Xia to the studio every day. When others inquired about his attire, Jin Xia claimed he had a cold.

While at the studio, Nan Hua would often fall asleep and experience worsening memory loss upon waking. Jin Xia would watch him, sometimes weeping, expressing her deep reliance and love for him. She vowed to live her life fully, hoping he would return to her one day, promising to wait for him no matter how long it took.

Meanwhile, Xiaochuan worked tirelessly, channeling energy into the Chinese bush cherry tree, described as a vessel ancient people used to collect spiritual energy, in an effort to sustain Nan Hua's spiritual energy. This exertion left her visibly weak and also caused her memory to falter, similar to Nan Hua's condition. Ding Yanhai urged her to rest, but Xiaochuan persisted, feeling her efforts were a necessary compensation for past events and a deserved consequence.

She felt compelled to help "Chuchen" (Nan Hua), who had endured similar struggles for thousands of years without anyone caring, and needed him to last until his wedding day. A radio announcement reported that Wangqi Town would experience the third meteor shower of the year that night. Jin Xia recalled Nan Hua's story about wishing upon shooting stars near a cherry tree, realizing this event likely signified his imminent departure.

Nan Hua had now fallen into a deep coma, too weak to last until their originally planned wedding day. Jin Xia decided they had to hold the wedding the very next day. Ding Yanhai rushed to prepare the wedding venue, while Xiaochuan continued her strenuous effort to recharge the cherry tree. The next day, Jin Xia, wearing the stunning wedding attire she had created, stood before Nan Hua.

A final surge of memories returned to Nan Hua, allowing him to fully recognize Jin Xia's ancient connection and Jiang Xiaochuan as his sister, Li Xiuning. Shocked and caught off guard by this recognition, Xiaochuan froze momentarily, then vanished, her bouquet falling to the ground. Ding Yanhai officiated the ceremony. As the couple exchanged rings, Nan Hua, in his final moments, expressed his profound gratitude to Jin Xia for showing him true love and happiness.

He spoke of being used and deceived for millennia, and how she was the first person to genuinely need him, not for his power or wealth, but simply for his presence and care. He comforted Jin Xia, telling her their connection was like the Earth and the moon, bound together regardless of distance, urging her to promise to be happy. With his last breath, Nan Hua dissolved into light, and his ring fell to the ground.

Jin Xia cried out his name in anguish. Simultaneously, elsewhere, Xiaochuan, having expended all her spiritual energy recharging the tree specifically until the wedding was completed, saw her black hair turn white as her power fully depleted.
