Flying up without Disturb Episode 17 Recap
> Flying up without Disturb Recap
The faux Crown Prince in Zhong Xi’s inner demon realm accused Zhong Xi of causing his death and demanded that Zhong Xi stay to atone for his sins, telling him that if not for Zhong Xi’s actions, he would not have died in his arms. In this illusory world, Zhong Xi felt enveloped by darkness, but then vivid memories of Kong Hou flooded his mind—their shared warmth, laughter, and battles.
He abruptly realized this scene was his own inner demon manifesting. At this critical moment, Kong Hou, sensing his distress from outside, played the phoenix-headed konghou. Its melodious, stirring notes pierced the darkness, dissolving the illusion into nothingness. Guided by the music, Zhong Xi finally broke free from his inner demon. Kong Hou was overjoyed, yet also expressed her fear and sadness that he had almost forgotten her while trapped.
As Zhong Xi and Kong Hou embraced after their ordeal, they discovered a small child curled up nearby, bearing a striking resemblance to the Crown Prince. Zhong Xi initially suspected it was another trick of the inner demon, but he then acknowledged that Kong Hou had taught him to cherish simple joys, release his obsessions, and accept himself. He realized the past could not be changed, and one must move forward.
The child revealed he was the key to the Secret Realm Valley, trapped within a barrier for 500 years. He explained that anyone entering would typically fall into their own inner demons, but Kong Hou, having no inner demons, had broken the enchantment. Kong Hou, annoyed by the ordeal, chastised the child, who then offered to remove the barrier and guide them into the Secret Realm if they took him along.
Kong Hou initially refused, stating she only fell in while fighting dark cultivators, and Zhong Xi also claimed he was just looking for her. However, when the child mentioned the Secret Realm contained countless treasures, including the legendary Merfolk Scale and the Cloudseeker Twig, which they had been searching for to aid Zhong Xi’s condition, Kong Hou became eager. The child, surprised by their initial lack of interest, finally lifted the spell, and they exited the barrier.
Upon their return, Kong Hou’s Senior Tan rushed to her, expressing relief and scolding her for the dangerous situation she had put herself in. He insisted they return to Yunhua Sect immediately, fearing what their Master would say. Kong Hou, however, was resolute in her desire to stay with Zhong Xi. Lin Hu, observing their interaction, cleverly intervened by engaging Senior Tan in a conversation, creating an opportunity for Zhong Xi and Kong Hou to have some private time.
Meanwhile, Ling Bo, having injured her leg, leaned against a tree in the forest. Lin Hu arrived just in time, carrying her back to the inn and carefully bandaging her wound. Ling Bo, ever proud, attempted to hide her injury, but Lin Hu teased her, revealing she got hurt due to her recklessness while trying to outdo her senior. He also mentioned that he had already sent word to her sect.
Back at the inn, Kong Hou tended to Zhong Xi. He asked how she managed to play the phoenix-headed konghou. Kong Hou explained that her desperate desire to save him must have caused the spiritual tool to resonate with her. Zhong Xi then pressed her on the nature of their relationship, admitting he didn't want to be just friends and that his feelings for her were why the phoenix-headed konghou had responded to his crisis.
Kong Hou, blushing and shy, tried to escape, but Zhong Xi pulled her back and kissed her. Later, Zhong Xi discussed the Secret Realm Valley with Lin Hu, surmising that it contained something vital that the dark cultivators desired. They decided to consult with the major sects to organize a joint expedition.
At the same time, Jiu Su, having just emerged from seclusion, was furious that his subordinates, Wu Xi and Wu Bei, had been captured and the key to the Secret Realm had fallen into the hands of the righteous cultivators. He dismissed the value of his captured subordinates, noting that as long as the realm was opened, he didn't care who held the key.
One of his subordinates reported that Kong Hou possessed exceptional spiritual roots and was inseparable from Zhong Xi, raising concerns about her power if her seal were ever lifted. Jiu Su chillingly implied he would not allow her to reach that stage. Concurrently, at Yunhua Sect, Kong Hou's Master, Wang Tong, expressed his deep concern over her near-fatal encounter in the inner demon realm and wished to recall her.
However, another elder, Qiu Shuang, praised Kong Hou's growth and ability to control her natal spiritual tool, suggesting they ask for her opinion first. Meanwhile, the Master of Liuguang Sect and Jin Yue reflected on Zhong Xi’s past trauma and were impressed by Kong Hou's unwavering courage in saving him. They expressed hope that finding the Cloudseeker Twig and Merfolk Scale would aid Zhong Xi’s recovery and agreed that the Secret Realm must be opened to counter the dark cultivators.
Ling Bo’s mother arrived, scolding her daughter for her reckless actions but eventually agreeing to let Ling Bo lead her sect’s team into the Secret Realm, as her senior, Chang De, was also injured and unable to go. Meanwhile, Senior Tan again tried to convince Kong Hou to return, citing their Master's orders, but Kong Hou reminded him of her promise to Zhong Xi.
Seeing their bond, Senior Tan, after a clever suggestion from Zhong Xi, decided to report to their Master that he had "lost track" of Kong Hou or that they had already departed by the time he received the message, allowing them to proceed. As Zhong Xi, Kong Hou, Lin Hu, and Senior Tan journeyed to the Secret Realm Valley, they encountered Ling Bo, who greeted everyone except Lin Hu, reigniting their playful banter.
They also met disciples from other sects, including Jin Ling and Zhou Xiao from Shuangqing Sect. The two offered pastries and sincerely apologized for their Master Shuang Qing’s past misdeeds. Kong Hou graciously accepted their apology and the pastries, recognizing their genuine regret.
Upon reaching the Secret Realm entrance, Ling Bo announced the collective decision of the elders: due to the dangers within, some cultivators would guard the entrance while others would be selected by a lottery using "enter" or "stay" tokens. She also confirmed that the key to the Secret Realm would be jointly held by Liuguang Sect and Yunhua Sect. The selected cultivators then prepared to enter the Secret Realm Valley.
