Synopsis
Young mother Wan Xinxin unexpectedly becomes pregnant and hastily marries Qin Gang, a wealthy heir. Just as she is about to settle into the comfortable life of a pampered young wife, the two impulsively divorce. While Qin Gang provides her with financial security as the foundation of love and marriage, he turns to his ex-girlfriend Liu Wei, who has just returned from studying abroad. This plunges Wan Xinxin into an emotional crisis, strained in-law relations, and the difficulties of raising a child. Unable to bear the pressure, she leaves home with her newborn baby.
On her journey away, Wan Xinxin encounters Hua Ming, a warm-hearted older man. As fate would have it, her sudden appearance completely upends his quiet life—his car gets wrecked, his house floods, his money disappears, and he’s left helping take care of her baby. Forced to spend time together, Hua Ming gradually sees past her mischievous and headstrong ways, and her honesty and sincerity rekindle his long-lost hope for love. From reluctant acceptance to tender affection, the reserved and steady Hua Ming provides Wan Xinxin with thoughtful care, bringing warmth into her once gloomy world.
Meanwhile, Qin Gang, pressured by his mother to reclaim Wan Xinxin and their child in order to secure his inheritance, sets off a rivalry between two vastly different men—the dashing wealthy heir and the down-to-earth “uncle” figure. Qin Gang’s mother intervenes for custody of her grandchild, while Liu Wei refuses to back down. At the same time, Hua Ming’s ex-wife Xia Qing returns with their teenage daughter, hoping to reunite their family, delivering another heavy blow to Wan Xinxin. As Hua Ming’s hidden past gradually comes to light, the fragile balance of this “double second-marriage” family is once again thrown into turmoil.
