Zhang Jingmei was conflicted after preventing Bingbing from kissing Long Riyi; she questioned if her nervousness meant she liked him, quickly dismissing it as her duty to help him regain his memory. To that end, she brought Long Riyi, accompanied by his assistants Squid and Cuttlefish, to the mountain where his accident occurred. Long Riyi claimed no recollection of the event. Squid and Cuttlefish suggested a re-enactment, asking Jingmei for more specific details.
Jingmei described how she had been stranded there in the rain after a landslide, and Long Riyi had frantically dug for her, calling her name. Squid and Cuttlefish then created artificial rain. Jingmei immersed herself in the artificial rain, mimicking Long Riyi's actions of digging in the soil while calling her own name. Long Riyi, seeing her drenched, instinctively took an umbrella and rushed to her side, telling her she would catch a cold.
Despite her efforts, he still couldn't recall the specific memories. In a desperate attempt, Jingmei pulled him close and kissed him. Meanwhile, Jin Chunxi called Jingmei to invite her on a date, but she declined, explaining that she needed to care for Long Riyi, who had amnesia and was her responsibility. Suspecting a trick, Jin Chunxi visited Long Riyi at the hospital.
He immediately noticed Long Riyi's alert demeanor, realizing that Long Riyi was feigning amnesia to keep Jingmei by his side. Jin Chunxi confronted Long Riyi, stating his intention was "to expose him." Long Riyi, pretending not to know him, called Jin Chunxi "ugly." Jin Chunxi then deliberately acted intimately with Jingmei, sparking a reaction from Long Riyi, who claimed Jingmei was his girlfriend. Squid and Cuttlefish, playing along, forcibly separated Jin Chunxi from Jingmei.
To prevent Jin Chunxi from exposing his lie, Long Riyi feigned a severe headache. Doctors were called, and Jin Chunxi, Squid, and Cuttlefish were asked to leave. Jin Chunxi then confronted Long Riyi again, calling his actions childish and declaring that Jingmei was "his." To further challenge Long Riyi and expose his pretense, Jin Chunxi suggested taking Long Riyi and Jingmei to an amusement park to stimulate his memory. He claimed thrilling rides were Long Riyi's childhood favorites.
Long Riyi, who actually suffered from acrophobia, was forced to go on intense roller coasters and drop towers with Jingmei to maintain his facade. After enduring several rides, a visibly pale and unsteady Long Riyi collapsed onto a bench. Jin Chunxi offered him a glass of milk, knowing Long Riyi was lactose intolerant. Long Riyi drank it to uphold his act, but soon suffered from severe stomach pain and had to rush to the restroom repeatedly.
Inside, he angrily confided in Squid and Cuttlefish that Jin Chunxi had seen through his act and was deliberately pranking him. He ordered them to find a way to get rid of Jin Chunxi. Squid and Cuttlefish informed Jingmei that Long Riyi was unwell, prompting her to rush to his side. They then attempted to lure Jin Chunxi onto a Ferris wheel, but the clever Jin Chunxi outwitted them, leaving them trapped while he rejoined Long Riyi and Jingmei.
Jingmei, sensing the tension, excused herself to buy drinks, leaving the two rivals alone. Jin Chunxi directly challenged Long Riyi, demanding they cancel the "master-servant" contract with Jingmei and compete fairly for her affection. Long Riyi refused, reiterating that Jingmei was his girlfriend. Jingmei returned, and Long Riyi promptly took her back to the hospital. Separately, Long Haiyi visited Yoon-er at his coffee shop. He gently brought up the idea of meeting her parents as her boyfriend.
Yoon-er's hesitant reaction revealed her parents' disapproval of his status as a stepson in the Long family. She cautiously asked if there was any chance he could join the Long Group, hoping it might change her parents' perception. Long Haiyi, however, firmly stated his unwillingness to involve his family's influence in his personal relationship and assured Yoon-er he would win her parents over in his own way.
Later, Jin Chunxi unexpectedly invited Long Riyi and Jingmei to his home to watch a movie. To their shock, the screen displayed dashcam footage of the supposed accident. The video clearly showed Long Riyi stumbling and falling, then deliberately feigning unconsciousness on the road, rather than being hit by a vehicle. Jingmei, realizing Long Riyi had lied about his amnesia and the accident, became enraged and stormed out of the house.
Long Riyi shot a furious glance at Jin Chunxi before rushing out to chase after Jingmei. Determined to win back Jingmei's forgiveness, Long Riyi enlisted Squid and Cuttlefish to project an apology video onto the classroom screen during Jingmei's class. Long Riyi appeared on screen, sincerely apologizing for lying to her. The public apology drew the attention of students and even the teacher.
However, a stone-faced Jingmei, unmoved by the gesture, simply walked up to the screen and turned off the video, then calmly resumed her lesson as if nothing had happened. Disappointed, Long Riyi acknowledged that his plan had failed. He then began to think of a new idea to win her over.
