Qi Yuanbao then grew wistful, noting that the little fox, like Changyue, had also disappeared without a trace since her return. She then handed her mother's keepsake back to her father. She explained that in the past, she had been childish, always seeking answers and truth, believing them to be paramount. She now understood that nothing was more important than being by his side. Qi Yuanbao then surprised him with a sword, a belated birthday gift, humorously blaming him for keeping her at Jingsi Cliff and preventing her from retrieving it earlier.
