Mei Ru, still upset with Murong Jielun for leaving, expressed her frustration as she peeled an excessive amount of garlic for Second Aunt's upcoming feast. Her hands were burning, and she playfully blamed Murong Jielun for running away and then getting caught by Second Aunt. When Murong Jielun came to see her in the room, she even playfully kicked him with her feet, a gentle and loving gesture that seemed like affectionate teasing.
Murong Jielun apologized sincerely, explaining that he had left because he believed he was a source of misfortune and harm for her, citing incidents like the crows. He thought that by leaving, Mei Ru would be able to live a safe and peaceful life. However, Mei Ru firmly told him it was too late for such thoughts, as she had fallen deeply in love with him.
She declared that she would now risk her life for him and would never abandon him, insisting that he must not leave her either. Mei Ru clarified that the strange phenomena, including the crows, were not his fault but rather connected to things around her, which she was prepared to face. She emphasized that the only thing she could not bear was his disappearance. Murong Jielun, moved by her words, hugged her tightly.
He confessed that without her, time dragged on, and he constantly longed for her, fearing the passage of time without her by his side. Mei Ru, touched, affectionately teased him for speaking like a love expert but acting foolishly. She then made him promise to never leave her again.
Murong Jielun swore to Chen Mei Ru that he would never leave her without reason, even vowing to die by her side, a phrase Mei Ru quickly told him not to utter. Later that night, under the moonlight, Mei Ru and Murong Jielun shared a tender kiss. They found themselves transported to Wushan, where they cherished being alone, away from Second Aunt, whom both admitted they feared. The next day, Mei Ru and Murong Jielun attended the wedding.
Having helped Second Aunt with preparations earlier, Murong Jielun was excited to finally be able to "eat and drink as much as he wants." During the bride and groom’s grand entrance, Murong Jielun was startled by confetti, mistaking it for danger, but Mei Ru quickly reassured him. He found the wedding ceremonies intriguing, despite Mei Ru’s cynical view that marriage was merely about the "mundane parts of life" and that the host's romanticized descriptions were "hypocritical."
Unexpectedly, Second Aunt called Mei Ru to give a speech. Although unprepared, Mei Ru reluctantly stepped forward and delivered a heartfelt address on love and marriage. Murong Jielun was deeply impressed and, moved by her words, told her he loved weddings and wanted to marry her, prompting Mei Ru to quickly tell him to "eat up" to hide her blushing.
As the reception concluded, Mei Ru and Murong Jielun attempted to leave early but were stopped by the host for the "tell who's the bride" game, where the groom had to identify his bride by touching the hands of five women hidden behind a screen. After a series of rejections, the groom confidently chose Mei Ru, mistakenly pulling her from behind the screen. Murong Jielun immediately rushed forward, loudly proclaiming, "Chen Mei Ru is mine!"
The groom then revealed his face, and to Mei Ru's astonishment, he was Chen Jinxin, her childhood crush. Meanwhile, Duan Shuiliu was still absorbed in sketching the old man’s face, but the more he drew, the more he felt something was wrong. Ninth Heaven Dragon Lady tried to get his attention, believing, based on the internet celebrities' advice, that his absent-mindedness was a sign of unfaithfulness.
Duan Shuiliu, frustrated by their "blabbering" and "value output," asked his three internet celebrity employees, who were seeking to renew their contract, to use their fan network to investigate the foreigner named Sin. Gigi, one of the internet celebrities, later delivered her "findings" to Dragon Lady, claiming Sin was a mathematician who loved to sleep, possibly from Singapore.
She continued with an irrational analysis, concluding that Sin was a "seductress" who had charmed Ouyang Wen Shan and could potentially toy with Duan Shuiliu. Influenced by these suspicions and Gigi’s flattery that Sin couldn't compare to the Ninth Heaven Dragon Lady, Dragon Lady declared she would go to Ouyang Wen Shan’s hospital to confront this woman. Dragon Lady then sent Duan Shuiliu to buy white glutinous cake.
While waiting for the cake, Duan Shuiliu contacted a friend at the police department, asking him to use AI and facial recognition to identify the suspicious foreigner from his drawing. As he waited, he noticed a woman on a motorcycle speeding by. Upon returning home with the cake, he found a note from Gigi confirming that "Ms. Dragon went out for a woman's business."
Realizing the woman on the motorcycle was Dragon Lady, he immediately tried calling Gigi, but her phone was unreachable. He then discovered his motorcycle keys were missing, and its GPS showed it was heading towards Ouyang Wen Shan's hospital. Duan Shuiliu rushed out to find her. Ninth Heaven Dragon Lady arrived at the hospital basement, expecting to find a "seductress." To her surprise, the person who greeted her was a man. He introduced himself as Sin-Muballit.
Dragon Lady was momentarily confused, as she could somehow understand his words, and realized Sin was indeed a man. Relieved that her concerns about a rival "seductress" were unfounded, she prepared to leave. However, Sin-Muballit offered her a drink, noting that he doesn't often receive guests and that they were both "extraordinary people."
