> Catch Up My Prince Recap

During a performance at the Entertainment Education Department, Zhao Chen Yi noticed that one of the dancing palace maids possessed martial arts skills, recognizing her unusual gait. He challenged her, exposing her as a member of the Green Lotus Sect after seeing the signal on her hand. The two fought. Meanwhile, Xu Lang was ambushed by a group of black-clad assailants, one of whom was Xin'er. She was forced to retreat when Xu Lang's subordinates arrived.

Xu Lang recognized the attacker's Rainbow Fish Sword Technique and concluded that she was a descendant of the Yu family. His subordinate injured the assassin's hand during the fight. Xin'er later spoke with someone, mentioning that the Green Lotus Sect was monitoring the Cherished Orders Palace and that the Ministry of Rites reported that the Fourth Prince had left his territory.

Xin'er planned to use this as an opportunity to accuse the Fourth Prince of harboring criminals and plotting against the state. Lu Ranran was tasked with illustrating a story due to her claim of being unable to speak, a task Zhao Chen Yi assigned as a form of "punishment." Despite the poor quality of her artwork, Zhao Chen Yi found the story amusing.

The story was about Young Master Duan and the three girls he met, only to discover they were all his half-sisters. Yun Zhu told Lu Ranran about an upcoming talent assessment and the possibility of being dismissed (or even beheaded) if she failed, because the Astronomy Bureau reported that the palace contained a reincarnation of a jinx who would disrupt the harem and harm the Crown Prince. The Empress Dowager ordered the person found and eliminated.

Worried about the impending talent assessment, especially her poor needlework skills, Lu Ranran sought help from Zhao Chen Yi, offering to reveal the story's alternative ending in exchange for his help in passing the assessment. She knew he was one of the examiners. Zhao Chen Yi started teaching her painting, but due to her lack of talent, he switched to calligraphy.

During a lesson, Lu Ranran accidentally spilled ink on Zhao Chen Yi's clothes, prompting him to remove his outer garment and ask her to have it washed. Later, Zhao Chen Yi skillfully turned the ink stain into a gardenia painting. Lu Ranran saw Zhao Chen Yi with Xin'er and quietly left, feeling disappointed. Zhao Chen Yi later found Lu Ranran looking upset and invited her on a boat ride that evening to cheer her up.

While rowing, Lu Ranran nearly lost her balance, but Zhao Chen Yi caught her. He then asked about the story's true ending. Lu Ranran revealed that Young Master Duan was a product of his mother's revenge against his father, so he was not biologically related to the three girls. Miss Wang was in love with her cousin, who had gone insane trying to restore his country.

Young Master Duan eventually returned to Yunnan, taking Miss Zhong and Miss Mu as concubines, which Lu Ranran still considered a sad ending. On the day of the talent assessment, Zhao Chen Yi noticed Xin'er suspiciously surveying the surroundings. The Crown Prince, Zhao Chen Xuan, unexpectedly arrived. As he approached, a screen suddenly fell, endangering him, but Zhao Chen Yi and Xu Lang quickly pulled him to safety.

Xu Lang sent his subordinate, Xiao Bao, to follow Xin'er, having recognized the hand injury on the assassin from their earlier encounter. During Lu Ranran's turn, she chose "Anatomy" from a selection of unexpected options. She then meticulously carved a roasted duck, separating the meat, tendons, and bones without damaging the edible parts, impressing the judges. Doctor Li, one of the judges, recognized her precise knowledge of meridians and organs, suggesting she had studied "Cunzhentu" (Anatomy).

Lu Ranran was happy but noticed Zhao Chen Yi wasn't there. Later, Zhao Chen Yi confronted Xin'er, asking if she knew what she did wrong. Xin'er claimed not to know, and Zhao Chen Yi told her not to risk herself for revenge and that the Yu family's feud had nothing to do with the Crown Prince. Xin'er accused him of changing, but Zhao Chen Yi said he cared about her safety.

That evening, Lu Ranran was disappointed by Zhao Chen Yi's absence during her success and realized her feelings for him were growing. Yun Zhu brought her a coat and mentioned that the Eleventh Prince, Zhao Chen Yao, had come looking for her. Lu Ranran, feeling sad, wanted to be alone, feeling like she had planted a seed that would never grow.
