Lan Jinghui and Ling Dong went to the bookstore together. Lan Jinghui was looking at novels, but Ling Dong handed a workbook to Lan Jinghui. Lan Jinghui had just finished lamenting how thick the book was when Ling Dong directly pulled out a large stack of exercises from under the table. Lan Jinghui was surprised that even a top student had to put in so much effort during the holidays.
Then Ling Dong told him that all these problems were for him. Lan Jinghui almost cried. Ling Dong said that since he had spoken it, he must take responsibility, after all, getting into Jingda University wasn't just talk. Ling Dong questioned him, asking if he wanted to study abroad. Lan Jinghui denied it, but he still couldn't accept doing so many problems. So Lan Jinghui bargained with Ling Dong, asking if he could only do one-third.

Ling Dong was explaining a problem to Lan Jinghui, when Lan Jinghui accidentally spilled water on Ling Dong's pants. Having no choice, Lan Jinghui brought him back to his room and even gave him his own pajamas to change into.
While Lan Jinghui went to get the pants, Ling Dong looked around Lan Jinghui's room and unexpectedly discovered photos of Lan Jinghui when he was a child. Ling Dong was very surprised! Returning home, Ling Dong took out some things from his childhood. Suddenly, memories flooded his mind. It turned out that Lan Jinghui and Ling Dong were very good playmates when they were children. Lan Jinghui held great significance for the childhood Ling Dong.
The three of them continued studying. Lan Jinghui suddenly discovered a surprising piece of news: there would be a grand firework show on New Year's Eve. Xiao Xiaohua was very excited, and Lan Jinghui also wanted to go. After Ling Dong nodded, the three of them agreed to spend New Year's Eve together! As Spring Festival approached, Lan Jinghui refused to go back to his hometown with his family.
The three of them successfully met up, preparing to do some homework for a while and then eat hot pot and watch the firework show! As a result, Xiao Xiaohua's and Ling Dong's families sent messages one after another asking them to come home. Lan Jinghui pretended not to care, but when he was alone, he was still sad.
