> Be My Cat Recap

Mo Yuji's servant attempted to arrange a match for the tiger-striped cat, Mo Xiuran in cat form, but the feline proved too temperamental. It not only scratched the servant but also scared away the potential mate. The servant suggested a deceptive swap, replacing the cat with a calmer one, but Mo Yuji firmly refused, recognizing the cat as Little Mint's beloved pet and stating such a trick was beneath him.

Later, Nan Pingwan, the Princess of Sunset City, arrived and, in a bid to help Mo Yuji gain Little Mint's favor, instigated him to take the cat for castration. Mo Yuji agreed, believing it would make the cat more docile. However, Luo Feng quickly learned of their plan and rushed to inform Little Mint. Together, they raced to Doctor Wu's clinic, interrupting the procedure just in time to rescue the cat from the operating table.

Mo Xiuran, still in cat form, internally raged at the narrow escape. Meanwhile, on the outskirts of Sunset City, a masked leader issued orders to his black-clad assassins, instructing them to prepare for an attack as soon as Mo Xiuran arrived. Back at the courier station, Mo Xiuran was sulking. Little Mint, feeling apologetic, climbed to the rooftop to offer him a handmade mint-scented sachet.

Mo Xiuran initially dismissed it as "ugly," but when Little Mint feigned throwing it away, he quickly snatched it back, declaring it his despite its perceived flaws. Little Mint, noticing Mo Xiuran's persistent animosity towards Mo Yuji, wondered if there was a misunderstanding between them and encouraged him to talk it out. Feeling cornered, Mo Xiuran blurted out a confession: "Because I like you." Little Mint was stunned into silence.

Sensing the moment, Luo Feng released a swarm of butterflies to aid Mo Xiuran's romantic gesture, and Mo Xiuran slowly leaned in, intending to kiss her. Their moment was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Mo Yuji. Little Mint, flustered, quickly fled the scene. Mo Yuji then confronted Mo Xiuran, accusing him of coercing Little Mint, to which Mo Xiuran smugly replied that Little Mint was simply captivated by his charm. Later, Mo Yuji invited Mo Xiuran for a drink.

Initially, Mo Xiuran was disinclined, but Mo Yuji's taunts about his poor drinking ability quickly changed his mind. As the two drank, Mo Yuji revealed his long-held admiration for Mo Xiuran as a role model, but declared he would not back down in his pursuit of Little Mint. A drunk Mo Xiuran retaliated, claiming Little Mint didn't like Mo Yuji at all and had given "him" a scented sachet as a token of her feelings.

Little Mint soon arrived, but Nan Pingwan unexpectedly joined them, insisting on drinking with Mo Xiuran. Concerned that Mo Xiuran's true cat form might be revealed if he consumed more alcohol, Little Mint stepped in to drink on his behalf. Nan Pingwan, in her own drunken state, declared that Mo Xiuran would surely be hers.

Little Mint firmly told her to give up, stating that liking Mo Xiuran would lead to no good end, as he was destined to return to his own planet. Nan Pingwan, however, suspected Little Mint was simply trying to keep Mo Xiuran for herself. Little Mint then asked Luo Feng to escort a very drunk Nan Pingwan back to her room.

As Little Mint tended to Mo Yuji, who, despite his intoxication, consciously apologized for taking the cat to Doctor Wu, Little Mint reassured him that it wasn't his fault. Back in his room, Little Mint's encounter with the drunken Mo Xiuran led to a second, more heartfelt confession. Mo Xiuran, still under the influence, clarified that his feelings for her were not merely a pet's attachment to its master, but a profound love.

He pledged to forsake his return to Yu Li Planet to build a future with her, seeking everyone's blessing to be by her side forever. Just as Little Mint was deeply moved by his words, assassins burst into the room. Mo Xiuran shielded Little Mint, taking a stab wound to his back. Luo Feng arrived with guards, forcing the attackers to flee. Little Mint carefully bandaged Mo Xiuran's wound, and Mo Xiuran seized the intimate moment to embrace her.

However, Luo Feng's timely re-entry jolted Little Mint back to reality, and she reflexively punched Mo Xiuran in the face. Separately, Nan Pingwan, having mistaken Luo Feng for Mo Xiuran while drunk, had also expressed her affection before waking up and scratching his face upon discovering his true identity. The next morning, Mo Xiuran revealed that the assassins felt no pain, moving with unnatural speed and appearing to be controlled puppets.

He speculated that the Heavenly Hound, known for its Arcane Puppet technique, might have escaped from the Soul Orb, much like the Carp. He believed that finding the White Soul Orb would resolve these mysteries. Meanwhile, the masked leader, furious at his assassins' failure, provided them with another mysterious pill. Little Mint and her companions then entered Sunset City, where they were greeted by General Hu Yan Hao. Nan Pingwan and Nan Fei De muttered about his persistent demeanor.

Mo Xiuran, seeing Little Mint shiver, took off his scarf and wrapped it around her, an action that Mo Yuji observed with sadness. At the welcome banquet hosted by the Sunset City Lord, Nan Fei De steered the conversation towards the White Soul Orb.

The Castellan acknowledged possession of the orb, but explained his reluctance to hand it over: it was already designated as a dowry item for his daughter, Nan Pingwan, and showing it publicly before her marriage would go against Sunset City's traditions. Furthermore, the Castellan announced a grand husband selection competition for Nan Pingwan and extended an invitation to both Mo Xiuran and Mo Yuji to participate. To Little Mint's astonishment, Mo Xiuran readily accepted the invitation.
