Feng Muchen attempted to use hypnotherapy to awaken Wange's memories, but she refused to cooperate, insisting on continuing her audit. Instead, the hypnotherapy worked on Yun Yi and Ning Yuan, but had no effect on Wange. Feng Muchen then suggested a spa visit, hoping it would help with her memory, but it only served to create a more intimate atmosphere between them.
Later, Feng Muchen invited Wange to a mall, explaining that Feng's was bankrupt and only this last mall remained. Wange, believing everything was virtual in this world, expressed unconditional trust in Feng Muchen. She told him that she had begun to trust him since he braved the rain to help her, and also for pretending to be Mr. Jackson to assist her.
Feng Muchen mentioned that he felt they had known each other for a long time, but couldn't reveal certain answers to her yet. Meanwhile, Yun Yi was saying his goodbyes to his belongings, telling Ning Yuan that Feng's bankruptcy meant he would soon need to find a new job. Yun Yi affectionately addressed his possessions, calling one a "soon-to-be standup guy" and others "more obedient" items, expressing his sadness at leaving them.
Ning Yuan, after receiving a large bonus, offered to buy Yun Yi's items. Feng Muchen then met with Lu Wenyuan for business. Wange sarcastically suggested that Feng Muchen should settle for being a stay-at-home husband, to which Lu Wenyuan immediately offered Feng's orders. Lu Wenyuan, having established his own new company, Lu's, invited Wanging and Feng Muchen to the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Feng Muchen noticed many former Ye's employees present.
Lu Wenyuan informed them that even if he hadn't taken these employees, Wange wouldn't have been able to manage them. During the ceremony, Feng Muchen deliberately provoked Wange, showing her documents regarding Ye's employees leaving. Wange then realized that these senior executives had "voluntarily" left, which made her understand Lu Wenyuan's true motive for generously appointing her as chairman. Wange angrily accused Feng Muchen of being a traitor and a "gigolo" since Feng's was bankrupt.
Feng Muchen retorted that their marriage could end at any time. Enraged, Wange proposed a divorce. Wanging then stepped in, mocking Feng Muchen and suggesting he should have married her instead. As Wanging feigned defending Feng Muchen, Feng Muchen, in turn, angrily exposed Wange's past deceit, including drugging him, tricking him into bed, and faking pregnancy.
As Feng Muchen and Wanging left, holding hands, Su Yinyin publicly ridiculed them as "scumbags," but they ignored her and continued their public display of affection. Afterward, Wange confessed to Su Yinyin that the public argument was an act staged for Lu Wenyuan's men, who were observing them. Su Yinyin agreed that it was a convincing performance, despite its harshness. Wange and Su Yinyin then discussed Wanging and Chen Ye, with Wange wanting to reunite them.
Su Yinyin was hesitant, fearing Chen Ye was truly allied with Lu Wenyuan, which would harm Wanging. Wange, however, believed Chen Ye might have ulterior motives or even be an undercover agent. They devised a plan to bring Wanging and Chen Ye together at a large business conference at Ye's the following day, using the work environment as an excuse for them to communicate.
Separately, Chen Ye spoke with Lu Wenyuan, expressing concern about Shen Lingzhu's whereabouts and stating that Wanging was innocent and should not be harmed. Lu Wenyuan dismissed Chen Ye's concerns, telling him not to meddle and to focus on his orders. Later that evening, Feng Muchen appeared at Lu Wenyuan's residence, explaining that Wange had kicked him out after a heated argument, making it difficult for him to live under the same roof with her.
Lu Wenyuan reassured Feng Muchen, stating that once Feng's production line was integrated into his new company, the power dynamics would shift, and Feng Muchen's "family position" would improve. The next day, Wange presided over the successful business conference at Ye's, announcing a lavish lunch for attendees at a luxurious local hotel. Following the meeting, Chen Ye approached Wanging, explaining that his earlier cold actions were to mislead her father.
He apologized for keeping her mother's situation from her, revealing that Lu Wenyuan had arranged for Shen Lingzhu to be transferred after a miscarriage. Chen Ye had believed it was a test from Lu Wenyuan and feared telling Wanging. Wanging was distraught, realizing Chen Ye knew about her mother's miscarriage and hadn't informed her. As Feng Muchen was about to leave Lu Wenyuan's office, Wange arrived, ostensibly to congratulate her father. Auditor Liu was also present.
Wange subtly introduced Auditor Liu as the Company of Party A for the contract, implying a new arrangement that seemed to be a setup against Feng Muchen. Feng Muchen then accused them of conspiring against him.
