Li Guang, Li Chaochao, and his ex-wife made dumplings together. Chaochao brought her boyfriend Owen for Li Guang to meet. They all had a great time. When Li Guang was in New York, he learned from his ex-wife that Owen was the son of Yao Jiahui, the CEO of the Yao Family Fund. His ex-wife warned him not to seek financing from Yao Jiahui using his daughter's relationship. Li Guang was lost and didn't know which way to go. He recalled how Li Mujia's singing had given him strength when he was in trouble in the past, but now, everything had changed. Li Guang was filled with mixed emotions as he went to confront Li Mujia. He admitted his feelings for her but explained that they couldn't be together. Li Mujia only wanted a home and didn't care about any other responsibilities. In anger, she demanded a breakup.

The financial chain of the Li Ming Group was broken, and Li Guang was held accountable by the board of directors. He remained silent, allowing them to vent their frustrations. Li Mujia instructed Chen Qing to return the ring and necklace to Li Guang, marking the end of their relationship. Li Guang didn't know what to do and could only send her three words: "I'm sorry."
