Tian Rong effortlessly obtained the key to that apartment. She returned to the store to get tools and thoroughly cleaned the apartment. Soon, she had her first prospective tenant. The customer pointed out numerous flaws in the apartment, offering over three hundred thousand less than the landlord's asking price. The negotiation failed. Unable to catch the last bus, Tian Rong stayed at Li Mujia's rental house.

Tian Rong discussed the idea of renting the apartment at a lower price with Li Mujia. They planned to spruce it up and then raise the rent by a thousand yuan before renting it out. However, Li Mujia wasn't interested. Her mind was solely focused on winning the Dawn Tower case. She stood in the position of the opposing lawyer and drafted a response, asking Tian Rong to help her simulate the trial scene.

The next morning, Li Mujia went to the court with high spirits. Wu Jianqiu cheered her on and repeatedly emphasized Li Guang's principle of not accepting mediation and not withdrawing the lawsuit. The trial started, and Gu Sheng, representing the defendant, filed a counterclaim. Li Mujia argued with him logically. Gu Sheng requested mediation, but Li Mujia adamantly refused, leading to the trial being suspended.

Due to the problems in funding, Mo Dahai approached Li Guang for negotiations regarding the Dawn Tower case. Li Guang firmly rejected his proposal, stating that they wouldn't compromise. Gu Sheng visited the law firm to question Wu Jianqiu, who quickly evaded him. Coincidentally, Li Mujia arrived at the firm, and Gu Sheng directed his anger towards her before leaving, warning her not to provoke Mo Dahai.

Fan Huapeng advised Li Mujia not to let Wu Jianqiu use her as a pawn, as offending Mo Dahai would lead to endless troubles. Li Mujia scoffed at his suggestion. Li Guang called Wu Jianqiu for a meeting and learned that Mo Dahai had encountered financial issues after purchasing a piece of land. Wu Jianqiu was relieved to hear that the Dawn Tower case wouldn't drag on for too long. Li Mujia received a call from her son's teacher and hastily left with Li Guang.

Tian Rong and her client, Aunt Chen, arranged to view the apartment. She waited until it was dark but received a call from Aunt Chen, notifying her that she couldn't make it due to an issue. Tian Rong was quite interested in the apartment. She called her father overnight to borrow money, even suggesting that he sell their family home in their hometown to come to Beijing. Her father firmly refused. Unable to catch the last bus, Tian Rong had to stay at Li Mujia's place. Li Mujia was up all night working on the Dawn Tower case.

When Tian Rong woke up early, she found that Li Mujia had stayed up all night and was concerned for her well-being. Li Mujia and Tian Rong received a message from their university roommate, Wang Yuanyuan, inviting them to a wedding. Tian Rong thought about being a bridesmaid to avoid giving a red envelope, but Wang Yuanyuan had already chosen her cousin. Tian Rong took her client, Li Yang, to view an apartment. Li Yang ended up buying two apartments. Tian Rong helped him arrange the loan process.

Dawn Group held a press conference, and media reporters rushed to report on it. Wu Jianqiu and Li Mujia attended as planned. Li Guang publicly stated that even if Dawn Tower remained indefinitely halted, he wouldn't tolerate cutting corners. There were protesters at the entrance of Dawn Tower, and Wu Jianqiu suspected that Mo Dahai was behind it. She asked Li Mujia to handle the situation.

Li Yang brought his son, Li Wanbing, to the bank to apply for a loan. Tian Rong helped them tirelessly. Li Yang praised her and even suggested that Li Wanbing learn from her. Li Wanbing misunderstood and chatted with Tian Rong briefly. Li Yang felt Tian Rong was too astute and quickly pulled Li Wanbing away. Tian Rong received a call from Wang Yuanyuan; her cousin was sick and couldn't be the bridesmaid. Wang Yuanyuan asked Tian Rong for help.

Through Li Mujia's persistent efforts, the protesting workers were eventually dispersed. Li Guang wanted to thank her over a meal, but Li Mujia questioned his intentions. Li Guang explained, persuading Li Mujia to continue representing the case. Li Mujia hurriedly returned to the law firm to organize the workers' demands. Wu Jianqiu was also working late at the firm, and the two shared instant noodles to stave off hunger.

Li Mujia and Tian Rong attended Wang Yuanyuan's wedding. Li Mujia was emotional as she remembered her own situation. Tian Rong comforted her, advising her not to overthink things. Li Mujia's son, Doudou, wanted to meet his father, Wang Wei, over the weekend. Wu Jianqiu had to inform Wang Wei, who took the opportunity to suggest that Wu Jianqiu give up the suburban villa. However, Wu Jianqiu firmly declined.

Tian Rong accompanied Wang Yuanyuan through the wedding procedures and was happy about the free food and drinks, not to mention the fact that she didn't need to give a red envelope. When classmates learned that Tian Rong had bought three apartments, they were envious and jealous.
