The morning after Qiao Rui’s unexpected return and the ensuing late-night family commotion, Mu Xiangxiang, still in Qiao Nan’s body, encountered Qiao Rui in the bathroom, fresh from a shower, as his own showerhead was broken. Mu Xiangxiang was secretly impressed by Qiao Rui's appearance. Later, Qiao Rui offered Mu Xiangxiang a homemade breakfast bento, explaining he had made too much and didn't want their father, Qiao Yuanshan, to scold him for wasting food. Mu Xiangxiang reluctantly accepted.
Qiao Rui remarked that Qiao Nan had changed and thanked him for the bento, a gesture unfamiliar from him. At school, the real Qiao Nan scolded Mu Xiangxiang for accepting Qiao Rui's bento and riding in his car the previous night. He insisted that Qiao Rui wasn't his brother, accused him of faking kindness, and warned Mu Xiangxiang to stay away, referencing past troubles caused by Qiao Rui.
He also feared they would be discovered if Qiao Rui noticed anything unusual. Despite Mu Xiangxiang's positive impression of Qiao Rui, Qiao Nan insisted she ignore him and threw the bento away. That afternoon, Qiao Rui arrived at school to pick up "Qiao Nan," saying he anticipated rain. Qiao Rui offered to carry "Qiao Nan's" backpack and promised to pick him up every day. Mu Xiangxiang, unable to locate the real Qiao Nan, entered Qiao Rui's car.
Qiao Nan, having brought two umbrellas, was furious to see her get in Qiao Rui's car. He demanded she get out and attempted to pull her from the vehicle, but an onlooker's question about boarding the bus stopped him. Qiao Nan muttered about the nonexistent rain and the now-present sun before leaving, dropping the umbrellas. In the car, Qiao Rui commented on how "fierce" girls at their school were.
Mu Xiangxiang quickly clarified that "she's not a girl," then rephrased it to say that "she's the fiercest in the whole school" to avoid raising suspicion. Back home, Qiao Rui told Qiao Yuanshan that he had brought Nan Nan home because he thought it was going to rain. Luo Meisheng complimented "Qiao Nan" on the expensive-looking outfit "he" had bought Qiao Yuanshan.
Qiao Yuanshan then questioned "Qiao Nan" if he was short on money, suspecting the gift was a ploy to ask for cash. He mentioned that Aunt Luo had called the school, and Teacher Mo had praised "Qiao Nan's" recent studiousness, leading the Taekwondo club members in reading and studying.
Mu Xiangxiang, worried about being exposed, decided to claim that nothing had changed and that her studious acts were just to avoid the dean and her falling asleep while reading English was an act. This angered Qiao Yuanshan, who accused "Qiao Nan" of faking it and threatened to kick him out of the house if he failed again.
As Mu Xiangxiang stormed upstairs, Luo Meisheng tried to intercede, reminding Qiao Yuanshan that they had agreed to be encouraging, but the parents continued to argue. In Qiao Nan's room, Mu Xiangxiang called Qiao Nan, distraught, saying that she had caused trouble with his father. Qiao Nan responded that she had been causing trouble since getting into Qiao Rui's car.
Mu Xiangxiang recounted the confrontation with Qiao Yuanshan, expressing shock at the strained father-son relationship and the constant scrutiny from Qiao Rui. Qiao Nan advised her to be "invisible" and treat his family as transparent, though Mu Xiangxiang found this difficult. Their conversation was interrupted by Qiao Rui entering the room. Qiao Rui came to check on "Qiao Nan," observing that he was different, as the old Qiao Nan would have run away after such a scolding.
Mu Xiangxiang, trying to maintain character, declared she had grown up and now believed in staying calm. Qiao Rui then offered her soy milk he had made. Remembering Qiao Nan’s dislike for soy milk, Mu Xiangxiang questioned him. Qiao Rui left the cup and went downstairs. After confirming Qiao Rui was gone, Mu Xiangxiang poured the soy milk down the toilet. The next morning, Qiao Rui approached Mu Xiangxiang with a Rei Ayanami figurine.
Mu Xiangxiang, unaware of Qiao Nan's history of smashing five such figurines because of his devotion to Asuka, simply told him to "get lost" twice. Qiao Rui seemed puzzled by "Qiao Nan's" changed reaction. Mu Xiangxiang felt Qiao Rui was constantly testing her. In Qiao Nan's room, she found Qiao Nan's hair messy because he hadn't dried it before bed. She took out a small comb from her bag and combed his hair.
Qiao Nan reacted by asking her to stop touching him, but Mu Xiangxiang reminded him to dry his hair after showering, adding that as a girl, tangled hair would be troublesome, and clipped a hairpin into his hair. Qiao Nan, feeling an odd tingling sensation, complained about his family's habit of touching heads and told her not to do it again. Mu Xiangxiang muttered that she wouldn’t bother if it weren't her own hair.
To better handle Qiao Rui's probing, Mu Xiangxiang decided to create a list of Qiao Nan's daily habits and asked Qiao Nan to do the same for her. Qiao Nan was reluctant but eventually dictated a list: arranging figurines by height, cleaning them weekly, adding vinegar and chili to noodles, doing ten sit-ups upon waking, brushing the left side of his teeth first, and practicing Taekwondo anytime, anywhere.
Qiao Nan warned Mu Xiangxiang that if she still couldn't handle Qiao Rui, it would be her own fault. When Mu Xiangxiang expressed difficulty in dealing with Qiao Rui daily, Qiao Nan suggested she simply leave the house if Qiao Rui bothered her, recommending a karaoke bar, as Qiao Rui was tone-deaf and would never go there. At the taekwondo gym, Qiao Nan’s two friends observed him practicing, noting he was acting "girly" and checking himself in the mirror.
They wondered if he was having trouble with "Sister Nan" but concluded he seemed to be "infatuated with himself" given his physique and good looks. Back home, Qiao Rui's constant attention frustrated Mu Xiangxiang, who was trying to do homework. She called Qiao Nan to complain that she couldn't study because of Qiao Rui's constant visits, bringing water, fruits, and collecting peels. Qiao Nan blamed her for accepting Qiao Rui's initial ride and bento, saying she deserved it.
When Qiao Rui knocked on the door again, asking why he wasn't sweating after his "boxing practice," Mu Xiangxiang claimed she was practicing Tai Chi. Agitated, Mu Xiangxiang decided to follow Qiao Nan's advice and headed to a karaoke bar. Once there, she instructed the staff to turn on all the lights, play "Animal World" without sound, and clarified that, as high school students, all drinks should be non-alcoholic.
She remembered Qiao Nan's advice that strange requests would make people less suspicious. However, Qiao Rui surprisingly appeared at the karaoke bar, curious how "Qiao Nan" enjoyed himself, seeing her watching "Animal World" and doing homework. Mu Xiangxiang, flustered, excused herself to the restroom. From the toilet, she urgently called Qiao Nan, telling him that his brother was at the karaoke bar, singing loudly and badly, disrupting her study.
She expressed her desperation, as Qiao Rui was now "sticking to her like glue." Qiao Nan reluctantly promised to come and told her to find an excuse to hide from him for now. While anxiously waiting for Qiao Nan to arrive, Mu Xiangxiang checked her reflection in the mirror, smoothing her hair. Qiao Nan saw her doing this from a distance and smiled. Meanwhile, at home, Qiao Yuanshan and Luo Meisheng noted "Qiao Nan's" recent burst of energy and wondered if it was due to increased study pressure.
