She admitted her efforts were for Long Haoqian, feeling an imbalance given his many talents, such as horse riding, golfing, swimming, speaking several foreign languages, and his business acumen, while she only knew cooking. She recalled initially finding him arrogant and picky, but now felt he was becoming more and more excellent, attributing this change to the power of love, which made her feel smaller in comparison. She explained her phone was on silent. When he pressed, she knew he was worried, though he denied it. Before leaving for a business trip to Hong Kong, Long Haoqian presented An Ning with a beautiful gown. Later, Gong Chen was waiting outside for Meng Lu after Lin Zhe Yu dropped her off. He noticed her feet were sore from new shoes, prompting him to comment that expensive shoes don't always fit well, implying a deeper metaphor about relationships.
