The morning after their unexpected kiss, both Hu Li and Ji Nian felt embarrassed around each other. Ji Nian broke the silence, asking if Hu Li was hungry, and then offered to take him out for breakfast. Later, Hu Li eagerly pestered Ji Nian to take him along for her delivery rounds. Meanwhile, Zhou Yifei was actively searching for Hu Li.
She spoke to her assistant, Fatty, thanking him for believing Hu Li was still alive and instructing him to get more influencers to repost her reward offer of 500,000 for information on Hu Li. Later, Zhou Yifei met with Bai Dongchen, who questioned her impulsive decision to offer such a large reward. He warned her not to do anything she would regret, especially since her father, Zhou Hongwei, might discover she was back.
Zhou Yifei dismissed his concerns, stating she would bear all consequences as long as Hu Li returned. Bai Dongchen, however, let Zhou Yifei continue, thinking she would eventually give up after enough trouble. Back at the cafe, Hu Li was officially welcomed as "Little Stone" by Fiona, who gave him a specially chosen apron. Hu Li was eager to help with work, but Luo Li jokingly told him to sweep up the confetti from his welcoming celebration.
Bai Dongchen, concerned about recent events, tasked his assistant to monitor Yang Zhe, who had been secluded in his lab, heavily impacted by Hu Li's disappearance. Bai Dongchen also instructed his assistant to investigate Zhou Yifei's financial and travel records and to freeze her bank card, suspecting she had returned to the country. He then visited Yang Zhe, pressing him on why he placed Hu Li with Ji Nian.
Yang Zhe revealed that Ji Nian was Zhou Hongwei's daughter and that the only way to save Hu Li was for him and Ji Nian to fall in love. Yang Zhe insisted it wasn't a gamble but a necessity, confident they would fall in love. Later, Ji Nian took Hu Li out to deliver orders. She strictly warned him to stay by the motorcycle, not to stray more than three meters, and to keep his helmet on.
However, Hu Li, still disoriented by his amnesia and the new world, heard familiar music playing nearby and was irresistibly drawn to it. He wandered off to watch a street performance. The performers tried to get him to remove his helmet, scaring him, and he ran away, feeling overwhelmed and lost in the unfamiliar city. Ji Nian, returning to find him gone, frantically searched for "Little Stone."
She eventually found him, and Hu Li, clinging to her, tearfully confessed his fear of being alone and losing her, declaring that she was the only one he remembered in his world. Ji Nian embraced him, promising not to leave him. Upon their return to the cafe, they unexpectedly encountered Bai Dongchen. Ji Nian, in a panic, quickly ushered Hu Li upstairs to hide him.
Bai Dongchen greeted Ji Nian, surprising her by knowing her name and past as a patissier and an intern reporter who was fired because of Hu Li. He claimed to be there to order desserts for a housewarming party, but then subtly mentioned the 500,000 reward for Hu Li's whereabouts, implicitly testing Ji Nian's loyalty and probing whether she would reveal Hu Li for money. Ji Nian, though visibly nervous, feigned ignorance, assuring him she would prepare the desserts.
After Bai Dongchen left, Ji Nian considered him dangerous and resolved to prevent him from having any contact with Hu Li. Upstairs, Hu Li, having witnessed the encounter, questioned Ji Nian about her nervousness around Bai Dongchen. He shared that his amnesia had allowed him to rediscover himself and her. Later that night, Hu Li went to Ji Nian's room, telling her about strange flashing lights and images of him dancing on a stage to cheering crowds.
Ji Nian quickly fabricated a story, telling him he once dreamed of being a star but gave it up because her family wouldn't approve of her dating a celebrity, and he loved her enough to sacrifice his dream. Hu Li, attempting to reclaim his room, asked if Ji Nian could fold paper cranes. She obliged, but her efforts were in vain as she still refused to give him back the room.
The next morning, Hu Li, eager to please, woke up early to go to the cafe and left a decent breakfast for Ji Nian. Meanwhile, Zhou Yifei, frustrated by her stopped bank card, confronted Bai Dongchen, accusing him of snitching. Bai Dongchen explained that her online activities, especially involving Fatty, made it easy for her father to track her. He then suggested she raise money from Hu Li's fans. Soon after, Zhou Yifei received an online tip about Hu Li.
While on the phone with Bai Dongchen, she saw a video of someone resembling Hu Li, wearing a helmet and being pulled to dance, which also showed a cafe sign. She immediately set off to confirm the lead at the Smile Cafe, despite Bai Dongchen's warning that the online clues might be fake. As she approached the cafe, she heard Hu Li's piano music drifting out, drawing her closer. At the cafe, Hu Li was teaching Fiona how to play the piano.
