Learning that Fang Kaiyi was in the lab, Shen Yi took a ladder and began observing the studio. He made a surprising discovery, but then Fang Kaiyi came out and also noticed his intention. After further analysis of Wu Bin's vehicle recorder by the municipal bureau's technical reconnaissance section, the police found an important clue. The recording on the vehicle recorder had been tampered with.

The analyzed recording contained a conversation between Wu Bin and Fang Kaiyi. It turned out that Tang Keying's death was orchestrated by Fang Kaiyi behind the scenes, with Wu Bin acting as Fang Kaiyi's accomplice, making An Luran the perpetrator of Tang Keying's murder.

With irrefutable evidence, Wu Bin confessed truthfully that the animal euthanasia injection was actually arranged by Fang Kaiyi for Wu Bin to bring over, seize the opportunity to put it in Tang Keying's bag, and then let the enraged An Luran kill Tang Keying. At the same time, Shen Yi confronted Fang Kaiyi.
