Shi San Middle School's Yajiu Xin single-handedly came to Yuqing Middle School to stir up trouble. He encountered Huang Jing and a couple of other rookies who tried to block his path. Yajiu Xin easily defeated them with three balls, knocking them all down and even injuring Ma Xiuwen in the process. As Yajiu Xin gloated about Yuqing's supposed weakness, Lu Xia appeared.

Yajiu Xin immediately challenged Lu Xia, expressing his desire for Yuqing to advance so they could have a proper showdown. Qi Ying, seeing the commotion, rushed to inform Lu Xia that she had alerted the security office. Yajiu Xin, unfazed, threw a can at Huang Jing's group. Lu Xia instinctively shielded Qi Ying, causing the contents of the can to scrape his face.

Yajiu Xin, feeling a pang of guilt for accidentally injuring Lu Xia, left with a warning for Lu Xia to tell He Xinglong not to meddle in his affairs. Lu Xia wanted to keep his injury a secret, but Ma Xiuwen and other teammates had already spread the news. Despite this, Lu Xia insisted he had merely fallen, refusing to admit he was injured by Yajiu Xin.

Due to Lu Xia's injury, Tang Jiale offered to treat everyone to a meal, but only Lu Xia and Qiao Chen showed up. After dinner, Tang Jiale unexpectedly spotted He Xinglong with a young woman. Curious, the trio covertly followed them, only to witness Yajiu Xin joining their table. Yajiu Xin angrily poured a drink over He Xinglong's head, enraging the Yuqing players who were ready to intervene.

As Qiao Chen prepared to retaliate, He Xinglong cautioned him that Yajiu Xin was from Shi San Middle School, and physical altercation would lead to Qiao Chen's disqualification from the tournament. Qiao Chen reluctantly backed down. Yajiu Xin, appearing smug, started to leave, but Lu Xia intentionally tripped him, openly challenging him to a showdown in their next match.

After Yajiu Xin departed, Lu Xia and his teammates were astonished to discover that the young woman He Xinglong had been secretly meeting was none other than Chen Xiaomin, Yajiu Xin's mother. Her youthful appearance was a particular surprise. Chen Xiaomin had been seeking He Xinglong's advice because Yajiu Xin wanted to drop out of school, a topic that infuriated Yajiu Xin, as he vehemently disliked anyone meddling in his personal matters.

Yajiu Xin's arrogant demeanor only intensified the Yuqing players' desire to teach him a lesson. Later, during a training session, Mu Siyang arranged a highly anticipated match between Lu Xia and Zhuo Zhi, two prodigious players who had never faced each other. Everyone was eager to see who would emerge victorious. The match began with both players cautiously probing each other's strengths. Lu Xia eventually found an opening and unleashed his powerful B-letter smash, but Zhuo Zhi skillfully countered it.

As Lu Xia prepared another smash, Qiao Chen, from the sidelines, yelled a warning not to use it. However, it was too late. Zhuo Zhi's formidable "Bear Roar Dragon Cry" technique returned Lu Xia's smash with overwhelming force, completely nullifying its power. Undeterred by the "Bear Roar Dragon Cry's" might, Lu Xia repeatedly attempted his smash, determined to find a way to break through it. Zhuo Zhi, confident in his defense, believed his technique was impenetrable.

After several attempts, Lu Xia finally discovered a solution: he hit the ball to just graze the net, causing it to go out of bounds when Zhuo Zhi attempted to use his "Bear Roar Dragon Cry." This was the first time Lu Xia had forced Zhuo Zhi into an unforced error, leading some to attribute it to sheer luck. To prove it was not a fluke, Zhuo Zhi asked for a rematch.

Lu Xia executed the same strategy, once again forcing Zhuo Zhi to hit the ball out of bounds. Convinced, Zhuo Zhi acknowledged that Lu Xia had indeed cracked his technique. Just as Lu Xia achieved his breakthrough, a sudden downpour began. Despite the heavy rain, Lu Xia and Zhuo Zhi were unwilling to stop, determined to play until a victor was decided.

Coach Qiao Na, concerned for their health, promptly intervened, scolding them and sending them back to rest, emphasizing that it was only training and they shouldn't push themselves to the point of sickness. While Lu Xia and Zhuo Zhi were made to rest, the other players continued their training. Qiao Chen enthusiastically announced his readiness for a post-training match, only to discover his opponent was none other than Mu Siyang.

The match between Qiao Chen and Mu Siyang was brief, with Qiao Chen quickly losing. Mu Siyang pointed out Qiao Chen's fundamental issue: his reluctance to exert his full strength, stemming from the lingering effects of a past foot injury. Later, in the changing room, Mu Siyang and Zhuo Zhi had a brief conversation. Zhuo Zhi inquired if Mu Siyang had faced similar challenges when playing against Lu Xia previously.

Mu Siyang, in turn, questioned Zhuo Zhi why he was not playing with his full potential. To ensure academic performance didn't suffer, Coach Qiao Na introduced a new rule: every main team member must pass all subjects in their monthly exams to remain eligible for matches. This spurred all players to actively dedicate time to their studies. Qiao Chen and Zhang Baiyang, while studying, mused about the supposed advantages of Yan Zhiming not being around to oversee them. Coincidentally, Yan Zhiming appeared behind them and, observing their study habits and grades, promptly increased their homework load.
