She heard them talking about reselling prohibited chemical raw materials, which seemed related to drug manufacturing, and was startled. Precisely because of this, Han Li pretended as if nothing had happened and secretly photocopied a copy of the pharmaceutical factory's internal account book, placing it in a plastic bag printed with Jiang Yingzi's pharmacy's trademark.

Meanwhile, Zheng Bei came to the hospital to interrogate Wang Jianmin, but Wang Jianmin remained silent, admitting that he had personally killed someone but did not confess the reason for the murder, claiming that Han Li had been persistently harassing him.
In Wang Jianmin's memory, Han Li stopped him from going home that day, took out the account book as evidence, and truthfully recounted what she had seen and heard. Wang Jianmin remained silent and calm throughout. Han Li suddenly realized that Wang Jianmin had already known, and made an excuse to leave.
Just as Han Li was about to enter the police station, Wang Jianmin suddenly rushed out from the shadows, hit her unconscious with a sapper shovel, and after her body sank into the river, he destroyed the copy of the account book. After Wang Jianmin finished dealing with everything, he went home alone to take a shower, burned the bite mark with a candle, silently lay on the bed, and held Jiang Yingzi who was already asleep.
The moonlight shone on Wang Jianmin's face, and he regained his usual gentle look, but he was sleepless throughout the night, hoping that the matter would end there and no one would come to destroy his happy family.
Although Wang Jianmin repeatedly emphasized that Han Li had repeatedly pestered him wanting to be his mistress, causing him to lose control and kill her, and that he chose to set himself on fire to end his life afterwards out of fear, Gu Yiran and Zheng Bei did not believe this distorted reason.
Because Wang Jianmin had consistently refused to cooperate with the interrogation and played dumb whenever the account book was mentioned, the special task force was at a loss. Gu Yiran said that although the account book was burned, the drug administration bureau would have records, so they could first check the reports. As for Zheng Bei, he went to find Jiang Yingzi to understand the situation, feeling that she was a bit too calm.
Just as Zheng Bei finished questioning and left, he turned back and saw the sign for Jiang Yingzi's pharmacy, instantly realizing that Han Li swallowing the plastic was meant to tell them that something was definitely wrong with Jiang Yingzi's pharmacy. On the other side, Gu Yiran found a problem from the reports, noticing that the scrap rate for a batch of medicine was too high. It contained ephedrine, which could be used to make methamphetamine. According to everyone's calculations, they believed at least a hundred kilograms of methamphetamine could be produced, suspecting that Wang Jianmin killed Han Li to conceal Jiang Yingzi's drug manufacturing.
