Take My Brother Away Episode 7 Recap
> Take My Brother Away Recap
One morning, after her workout, Shi Miao finds her brother Shi Fen is sick. When ill, Shi Fen acts childishly, so she cares for him, making him food and giving him medicine. He exaggerates his illness, wanting to skip school and have her stay home too. Frustrated, Shi Miao uses a shoulder throw to bring him back to his senses. On the way to school, they find their drunk father passed out on the road.
Shi Miao takes him home while Shi Fen continues on alone. Feeling drowsy, Shi Fen collapses in front of Wan Sui's car. Wan Sui recognizes him but, not wanting his wealthy identity revealed, hesitates to let Shi Fen in the car. Unable to carry him, Wan Sui follows his assistant Wan Xing's suggestion to blindfold Shi Fen before driving him to the school gate. Shi Fen wakes up there, confused about how he arrived.
In class, Shi Fen falls asleep and is scolded by the teacher. Wan Sui explains that he is sick. Wanting to help, Wan Sui fills a thermos with cold water for Shi Fen, not knowing how to boil it. When Shi Fen wakes up thirsty and drinks the water, he gets a stomachache and rushes to the bathroom, where he passes out.
Wan Sui finds him and splashes cold water on his face to wake him up, which earns him a harsh scolding from Shi Fen, leaving Wan Sui hurt. Meanwhile, Shi Miao arrives late to her class just as a director is casting for a school promotional video. Though everyone recommends Wang Keke, the director is impressed by Shi Miao and asks her to audition as well, angering Wang Keke. During P. E.
class, Wang Keke provokes Shi Miao, who easily flips her in a self-defense drill. Wang Keke feigns a serious injury, and the entire class, including the teacher, blames Shi Miao and forces her to apologize. Only her friend, Miao Miaomiao, stands up for her. Rumors spread that Shi Miao is violent. Her father then calls the school, scolding her for fighting and asking about some medicine, and she hangs up on him in frustration.
Feeling dejected, she skips the audition and goes to the school infirmary to cry. There, she and Wan Sui, who is also upset, are separated by a curtain and confide in each other, each unaware of the other's identity. Shi Miao mistakes him for Zhen Kaixin. Encouraged by their talk, she decides to go to the audition. Her mood improves further when Zhen Kaixin tells her that their father will be picking them up after school.
Wanting to show off to Wang Keke, Shi Miao forces the sick girl to stay and wait. Elsewhere, a groggy Shi Fen is challenged to a standoff on the building's rooftop by Cheng Haonan. Standing on the edge, the half-asleep Shi Fen is so unfazed that he terrifies Cheng Haonan into surrendering. The shock of his precarious position wakes Shi Fen up. Wan Sui, who witnesses the event, is awestruck, believing Shi Fen risked his life for him.
Shi Fen jokingly tells Wan Sui he can make it up to him by buying him pancakes for a semester, which Wan Sui readily agrees to. After school, Shi Miao waits at the gate, but her father never arrives, having taken a last-minute fare to the airport. She watches with envy as Wang Keke's father lovingly picks her up. Shi Fen offers to take his disappointed sister out to eat, but she refuses and goes home.
He follows and finds her eating instant noodles, so he cooks her spicy turkey noodles instead. While she eats and cries, Shi Fen finds the medicine bottle he was given earlier and reads the instructions, realizing it is their father's medication for depression and anxiety. In that moment, he understands and forgives his father. Later, Shi Miao gets a call from the director offering her the role in the video.
Her joy turns to sorrow when she learns they must film at her home with her parents. She lies that her parents are away and turns down the opportunity. Seeing her crying, Shi Fen deliberately provokes her into a fight, allowing her to release her pent-up emotions. As she hits him, he thinks to himself that as long as she is happy, nothing else matters.
