After losing track of her daughter, Tian Tian's mother spotted Su Mu driving his mother to school and decided to follow them in a taxi, wondering what the situation was once Su Mu’s mother exited the car. Tian Tian was at the same school for a celebrity signing event. She spotted two Ranchu goldfish priced at 700 yuan and tried to haggle. After her initial offer of 400 yuan was rejected, she walked away.
Immediately, Su Mu’s mother approached the vendor and readily agreed to the 700 yuan price. Seeing this, Tian Tian quickly intervened and convinced Su Mu's mother that the fish were not genuine and shouldn't be bought, citing her own family's business in fish. Su Mu's mother believed her and left without buying. Tian Tian then successfully negotiated the price down to 500 yuan and bought the fish.
Soon after, Su Mu's mother saw Tian Tian with the same two goldfish, making Tian Tian incredibly embarrassed as she fled the scene. Later, Tian Tian was queuing with Li Di for the signing session when she saw Su Mu. He explained that he was there to drop off his mother, who was giving a lecture at the school.
As Su Mu's mother happened to walk over, Tian Tian recognized her as the woman she had just tricked into not buying the fish. Mortified, Tian Tian quickly pulled Su Mu away to hide. She confessed to him about the fish incident, emphasizing that the first impression was ruined and no explanation would help. As they tried to leave, Tian Tian spotted her own mother.
Fearing her mother would misunderstand their relationship if she saw them together again, Tian Tian quickly dragged Su Mu into the library to hide. A game of cat and mouse ensued, with the three of them moving through the library. Su Mu pulled Tian Tian into a tight corner, where they were so close they could hear each other's heartbeats. After Tian Tian's mother left, Tian Tian and Su Mu returned to the event.
Li Di looked displeased to see them arrive together. Su Mu then excused himself, saying he had other matters to attend to, leaving Li Di puzzled by Tian Tian’s flushed face. Tian Tian's mother, having failed to find her daughter, ran into Su Mu and his mother while waiting for a taxi. Su Mu's mother discovered they were neighbors, and Su Mu kindly offered them a ride home.
In the car, Tian Tian’s mother began to ask Su Mu’s mother if Su Mu had a girlfriend. Su Mu's mother replied that he did, describing her as very pretty and cute, and mentioned that she even woke up early to make him breakfast. Tian Tian’s mother immediately dismissed the idea that it could be Tian Tian, as her daughter usually slept until noon. However, remembering Tian Tian's uncharacteristic early rising recently, a realization dawned on her.
Upset that Tian Tian hadn't told her about a potential relationship, Tian Tian’s mother ordered her to stay home for the next two days and make breakfast for her parents. Su Mu later called Tian Tian, inviting her to go to Bai Sha Island the next morning. Tian Tian, eager to go, cleverly convinced her mother to apply a new face mask, then slipped away after her mother fell asleep.
Picturing a romantic boat trip with Su Mu, Tian Tian's reality was far more adventurous and terrifying, leading her to scream for help throughout the journey and immediately throw up upon reaching the island. Su Mu knew Gao Bo was on Bai Sha Island but not his exact address, so they began to search.
Tian Tian was enchanted by the island's scenic beauty, and Su Mu took some photos for her, though his "straight-man" photography skills left Tian Tian feeling a bit unimpressed. Meanwhile, Su Mu's mother, while out jogging, met Tian Tian's mother and asked about a nearby market. She also warned Tian Tian's mother about an impending storm and advised her to bring in her laundry. Tian Tian and Su Mu continued their unsuccessful search for Gao Bo.
After buying water at a small shop, Tian Tian mistook an old man for Gao Bo and slapped him on the back. Su Mu quickly pulled her away to avoid trouble. Unexpectedly, Tian Tian then asked Su Mu directly, "You save me every time, is it because you like me?"
