Su Nianfeng rushed to the hospital after hearing Le Diyin wasn't feeling well. Le Diyin, who had already taken medicine and felt much better, jokingly called her a "ten thousand why's" for her intense concern. Su Nianfeng assured him that the drug research and development would commence next week and she was determined to find a cure for him. Le Diyin then brought up Su Muyun, mentioning Liu Zihui had implied there was a "huge drama" between them.
Su Nianfeng dismissed it as nonsense, explaining she and Su Muyun were too familiar with each other, making it hard to define their relationship. She also expressed her unresolved issues regarding his parents. Le Diyin advised her not to burden herself, emphasizing that her parents would want her to be happy. He then shared a small pig figurine, calling it "Strong Pig" and asking her to praise his talent, shifting the mood.
He encouraged her to maintain a happy mood as everything would get better, noting that she seemed to have grown stronger than the "Strong Pig." Meanwhile, Ouyang Qingxue called her brother, Ouyang Yu, for dinner, and he left his study. She then took the opportunity to sneak in. There, she discovered a share transfer agreement on his desk and footage of Su Nianfeng in the data room on his computer.
She quickly used her phone to capture images of these documents and the screen. Later, Lin Di was eagerly preparing for a date, even borrowing a special shirt from his friend Zhang Ailun, who joked about how "metrosexual" Lin Di was. Lin Di then took Liu Zihui to an expensive internet-famous French restaurant. Despite her initial protests and desire for him to stay away, Lin Di persisted.
After arriving late, Liu Zihui ordered an extensive meal, including Pan Fried Scallops with Foie Gras, Gillardeau Oysters, Lobster Bisque, Tomahawk Steak, Lobster Pasta, and Yogurt Passion Fruit Ice Cream. To Lin Di's surprise, she then declared she didn't like French food and only ordered so much to make the table look lively. She also rejected a gift he presented, revealing it was a re-gift from Zhang Ailun.
Liu Zihui bluntly told Lin Di that she found him annoying and disliked him, despite his willingness to accept her pretentious and extravagant nature. She instructed him not to bother her again. Lin Di, left to finish the lavish meal alone, paid the 2,680 CNY bill with his card. Despite her harsh words and immediate departure, Lin Di remained hopeful. He later accompanied her to buy a bag she insisted on, even though he didn't like the style.
Around the same time, Monica was in an office setting, confidently telling the chairman that she could translate Thomas's project data in three days, much faster than the usual week, seemingly in competition with Zhuo Yifeng. She later commented on Zhuo Yifeng being a "scheming woman" who looked harmless but was highly manipulative, expressing disgust that Ouyang Group was doing so much for her. Monica confidently declared she wouldn't give up and was prepared to face any challenge.
Later, in the library, Su Nianfeng found Liu Zihui posting the expensive bag Lin Di bought her for sale online, asking if it was a good idea to sell a gift. Liu Zihui, unfazed, stated it was a "business tactic" and she needed to "pretend to be poor" to sell it.
Su Muyun then arrived, confiding in his friend that he had already used his mother's credit card to buy a gift for Liu Zihui, and now planned to sell his valuable sneaker collection for funds, also asking for part-time job recommendations. A humorous argument ensued between Su Muyun and his friend about whether Liu Zihui was "the Helen of Troy."
After his friend left, Su Muyun told Liu Zihui that Lin Di had sold his valuable sneaker collection just to buy her that very bag. Liu Zihui feigned indifference, saying it had nothing to do with her. Moved by Su Muyun's words, Liu Zihui went to the mall to return the bag.
She then visited Lin Di's dormitory, N104, where his roommate accused her of harming him and revealed he was working at the Children's Palace because he missed weekend training due to her. At the Children's Palace, Liu Zihui watched Lin Di patiently coach a crying child, telling him that crying was useless and he shouldn't be "like his mother being a trash," before resuming practice.
This scene visibly touched Liu Zihui, making her recall her own childhood where her father scolded her when she cried. She then told Lin Di he would be a good father. She returned the money for the bag and insisted on splitting the bill for the French meal, pushing the money into his hand despite his refusal.
Lin Di reiterated his sincerity, promising that even though he was a student with limited means, he would do his best to give her anything she desired in the future. Liu Zihui, though walking away, couldn't hide a happy smile, leaving Lin Di's young students to comment on her "nastiness" while Lin Di defended her, calling her "very cute" and his "future girlfriend."
Monica then informed Su Nianfeng that Thomas's flight was arriving soon and urged her to accompany her to the airport. Su Nianfeng tried to decline, citing a "special situation" that prevented her from riding in a car, but Monica dismissed it as a weak excuse, reminding her of her dedication to Thomas's project. Reluctantly, Su Nianfeng got into the car. During the drive, she experienced a flashback to a past car accident, causing her to faint.
Her smart wristband immediately emitted an alarm, and Su Muyun, alerted by the location sent from the wristband, rushed to the hospital. Upon seeing her awake, he tenderly caressed her face, asking if she was feeling better. Su Nianfeng, however, gently moved away. When she asked if she had interrupted his class, Su Muyun firmly told her that to him, she was the most important person.
Su Muyun, after assuring Su Nianfeng that she was the most important person to him, went to buy her porridge. Not knowing her preferred flavor, he bought every kind available. When he attempted to feed her, she demurred, saying her hand wasn't broken. He playfully insisted, gently holding her face and feeding her, telling her she had no option to refuse. Soon after, Su Muyun's parents arrived, with his mother eager to enter the room.
Su Nianfeng noticed them through the glass panel on the door, her expression changed, and she quickly claimed she was full. Unaware of his parents' presence, Su Muyun simply told her to rest. Seeing that Su Nianfeng was not ready to face them, his parents reluctantly left, understanding her unresolved feelings. Back in the laboratory, Su Muyun was engrossed in researching the psychological reasons behind girls' "hot and cold" behavior.
His classmate, Qin Yao, who considered himself a "professional" at winning girls' hearts, offered to share his "original flirting techniques" in exchange for Su Muyun writing his experiment report and praising him to the professor. Su Muyun agreed. Returning to Su Nianfeng's bedside, he found her distressed over her computer crashing and losing 30,000 words of her document. Applying Qin Yao's first tip, Su Muyun lavishly praised Su Nianfeng, declaring her "the best in my heart."
She, however, was annoyed, feeling he was mocking her misfortune. Undeterred, he moved to the second tip, the "bossy guy" approach. He scooped her up and carried her out of the room, despite her protests, thinking she wanted fresh air because she was looking out the window. Su Nianfeng, however, merely thought a cloud resembled a lobster.
He then applied the third tip, giving her "practical" gifts rather than "pointless and cliché" flowers, only for Su Nianfeng to reveal that she actually preferred flowers. Qin Yao then arrived at the hospital to visit Su Nianfeng, but Su Muyun immediately tried to shoo him away, saying there was "nothing to see" and implying Qin Yao would "have a nightmare." Su Nianfeng, annoyed by Su Muyun's behavior, told him to "calm down."
Qin Yao then confessed to Su Nianfeng that Su Muyun was acting that way because he was afraid Qin Yao would "steal her away." He revealed that Su Muyun had not even finished his graduation project, sacrificing his academic performance, to create her smart wristband. Touched by Su Muyun's devotion, Su Nianfeng found him outside and offered him some tangerines Qin Yao had brought, but Su Muyun sourly declared them "sour" and "tastes bad."
She insisted he try another one, which he did, finding it sweet. She clarified that her relationship with Qin Yao was not what he thought. Just then, Ouyang Yu called with exhilarating news: Thomas had found a breakthrough using Su Nianfeng's compiled data, and the first batch of drug experiments for Le Diyin's condition was set to begin soon.
Overjoyed that Le Diyin could be cured, Su Nianfeng exclaimed she needed to tell him immediately and rushed off, leaving Su Muyun contemplating when he would finally be her priority. Later, Ouyang Yu was seen discussing the successful drug research and development, presenting Lv Yang Chun tea as a gift to a project partner, promising his full dedication.
His sister, Ouyang Qingxue, confronted him, expressing her father's disapproval of his investment in Thomas's project and forbidding him from being with "that girl." Ouyang Yu asserted his actions were for the Ouyang family, dismissing her claims that he was only helping "that girl," and stated she could think whatever she liked. On the same day, Ouyang Yu came to the hospital to visit Su Nianfeng with flowers and happened to encounter Su Muyun at the door of her ward.
