After a passionate night, Jingyang woke up full of excitement, but Cheng Yu quickly dispelled his hopes. She informed him that despite what had transpired, their relationship wouldn't change, emphasizing that they were both adults. When Jingyang stammered that it was his first time, Cheng Yu was amused, reaffirming that her feelings for him hadn't shifted and offering him other forms of compensation. He, however, stubbornly declared his commitment to pursuing her.
Meanwhile, Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan were enjoying their shared life at home with Rui Rui. Rui Rui's father had sent a security camera, allowing a distracted Cheng Mu to watch Jiang Sihan and Rui Rui playing while he was at work. At his sweet shop, Cheng Mu's colleague, Bin, noted his boss's distraction was likely due to a new competitor, Sweet, which was poised to open soon with several new products.
While Bin suggested preparing for battle, Cheng Mu dismissed the urgency, confident in their own new product which was nearly ready. He planned to release it after Sweet's opening to create a friendly competition. One day, Cheng Yu visited Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan. During her visit, Cheng Mu called, having forgotten his dessert recipe notebook and asking Jiang Sihan to bring it to him. Jiang Sihan initially hesitated, but Cheng Yu offered to supervise Rui Rui.
Cheng Yu then playfully probed Jiang Sihan about her feelings for Cheng Mu, suggesting he was using Rui Rui as an excuse to get her to move in. Rui Rui, overhearing, eagerly agreed to help make Cheng Mu his uncle-in-law in exchange for a Transformer toy. On her way to the shop, Jiang Sihan accidentally dropped the notebook. As she picked it up, she was impressed by the detailed dessert designs inside.
She delivered the notebook to a flustered Cheng Mu, whose colleague explained he had been distracted by the new product development. Soon after, a serious problem arose: Sweet launched a new product strikingly similar to Cheng Mu's unreleased dessert, even sharing the same name, "Childhood." Bin immediately accused Jiang Sihan of leaking the recipe, citing her visit to the shop with the notebook. Jiang Sihan admitted to accidentally glancing at the notebook's contents but vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
When Cheng Mu tried to mediate instead of explicitly defending her, Jiang Sihan felt deeply betrayed. Heartbroken by the unfair accusation, she ran out in tears. Later, Rui Rui advised Cheng Mu that men should be more understanding, suggesting he apologize and "act cute" like his own father does. Seizing the opportunity when it began to rain, Rui Rui encouraged Cheng Mu to take an umbrella to Jiang Sihan.
He found her, but she was still distraught and pushed him away. She clarified that she had not leaked the recipe and announced her decision to move out to prove her innocence, fearing more accidental "traps" in his home could tarnish her reputation. Cheng Mu pleaded with her, insisting he didn't suspect her, but she was resolute. She coldly told him to tell Rui Rui she was on a business trip and walked away.
With Jiang Sihan gone, Cheng Mu arranged for Jingyang to look after Rui Rui while he worked. Rui Rui, noticing her absence, asked when "Auntie" would return from her "business trip." Cheng Mu vaguely replied that she was busy. Later, Jingyang brought Rui Rui to the sweet shop, where Rui Rui confronted Cheng Mu, revealing that Jingyang had told him the truth: Jiang Sihan had moved out, evidenced by her missing slippers.
Feeling betrayed by the lie, Rui Rui was heartbroken. Cheng Mu apologized and promised that his first priority after finishing his work would be to bring Jiang Sihan back. That evening, Cheng Yu arrived to find Cheng Mu feeding a sad Rui Rui junk food. She reprimanded Cheng Mu for his poor parenting and revealed that she was also worried, as she couldn't reach Jiang Sihan for work.
Rui Rui, wanting to help, disclosed that he knew Jiang Sihan's home address and door passcode. Urged on by Cheng Yu, Cheng Mu rushed to Jiang Sihan's apartment. He found her severely ill with a high fever and immediately began caring for her. In her feverish state, Jiang Sihan hallucinated that Cheng Mu was by her side. She complained about seeing him even in her dreams and blamed him for her getting sick in the rain.
She then playfully teased that he would be cuter if he were gentler in real life, prompting him to ask if she was worried about him. Believing it was all a dream, she boldly declared that since they had already kissed before, she could touch him as she pleased.
