After returning home, Xia Yangyang's stepfather and stepbrother, as well as her stepmother Ru Yan and stepsister Xue Er, were all waiting for her. Lu Haotian was still waiting for Xia Yangyang with deep affection, but she could no longer bear to see his ugly face. She became emotional and told Lu Haotian to leave, while he walked away saying he wouldn't give up. Xia Yangyang asked her father to take her stepmother and stepsister and leave the house. However, her father still insisted that she marry Lu Haotian, and Xue Er pretended to be sad and helpless. Xia Yangyang bluntly pointed out their conspiring together. Her father was furious and slapped her in the face, threatening to cut off her living expenses if she did not marry Lu Haotian.
