In the library, Qin Shen asked Yuan Qian if she only supported his direction because it fit the competition theme. Qin Shen told Yuan Qian that his mother had always been against him studying sculpture, and because of his persistence, his mother became ill and was hospitalized. Qin Shen originally wanted to go back and talk to his family properly, but his home was in turmoil, and he was afraid Yuan Qian would only worry for nothing if she knew. Yuan Qian said she was willing to worry and hoped Qin Shen would tell her everything.
The two made up and hugged. Yuan Qian decided not to switch majors and to help the Sculpture department together. Jia Sicheng saw the two hugging and left the library.
