The nurse revealed that Lu Jinnian had brought Qiao Anhao to the hospital for an abortion, and had signed the consent himself after learning she was two months pregnant. Qiao Anhao was stunned and couldn't believe this, especially since she found no records of such a procedure.
The nurse insisted on the truth, explaining that she had mailed the report for her own peace of mind after experiencing nightmares. She further divulged that Lu Jinnian's assistant, Shen Mingzhe, had contacted the hospital's higher management to delete the records and paid substantial sums to the doctor and nurses involved to ensure their silence. Qiao Anhao's emotions overwhelmed her, fueling a deep misunderstanding that Lu Jinnian had intentionally ended their child's life.
Unbeknownst to Qiao Anhao, the nurse's actions were orchestrated by Han Ruchu, whose sole purpose was to create insurmountable rifts between Qiao Anhao and Lu Jinnian. After the conversation, the nurse called Han Ruchu, who promptly transferred one million to her account, instructing her to resign from the hospital immediately. Later, when he found her crying again, he mistakenly thought she had stomach discomfort. He lovingly prepared her favorite ginger coke, trying to feed it to her, but her emotional anguish was too profound to articulate, and she pushed the drink away, utterly heartbroken. That night, Lu Jinnian drove aimlessly, lost in painful memories of Qiao Anhao, expressing his wish that everything could be a dream. Meanwhile, Lin Qianqian returned, explicitly stating "I'm back," signaling her intent to rekindle her pursuit of Jia Mu.
