Han Ruibing, mesmerized by Lu Yuheng, peeled prawns and served him during dinner. Unable to directly refuse her, Lu Yuheng subtly prompted Lin Xiaodi, suggesting that a guest shouldn’t be doing such tasks. Lin Xiaodi then took over the serving, feeling like a maid. Lu Yuheng proceeded to constantly ask Lin Xiaodi to peel prawns, serve tossed cucumber in sauce, sweet and sour pork ribs, and soup, claiming his wrists and arms hurt and that he didn’t eat coriander.
Lin Xiaodi, exasperated, secretly vowed to get even with him once the guests left. Meanwhile, Su Nian, frustrated that Lu Yuheng wasn't answering her calls, spotted a photo on Liu Yan's social media, realizing he was at Lu Yuheng's home. She called Liu Yan, who was assisting Lin Xiaodi with making orange juice, and overheard Lin Xiaodi's voice in the background, making her suspicious.
Separately, Lu Yuheng refused to attend an event the next day, stating he didn't want to be "surrounded." Liu Yan then warned him that superstar Zhao Muran, Lin Xiaodi’s childhood friend, was actively pursuing her. He suggested Lu Yuheng make a move before Lin Xiaodi was swept away.
Lu Yuheng casually dismissed Lin Xiaodi as merely an "excellent housekeeper," but Liu Yan, recognizing this as unusually high praise from him, sensed that Lu Yuheng might be more interested than he let on. Lu Yuheng outwardly maintained his disinterest in women, but Liu Yan's words about Zhao Muran clearly bothered him. Later, as Liu Yan offered to give Han Ruibing a ride home on his old bicycle, he joked about it being "overloaded," hinting at her hearty appetite.
Later that evening, Lin Xiaodi enacted her revenge. Knowing Lu Yuheng was allergic to milk, she prepared two glasses of white liquid, presenting them as freshly squeezed, cold coconut juice. Lu Yuheng, despite her teasing about his frail body, insisted on drinking it. He noticed a strange taste but consumed it anyway. Soon after, he began to experience stomach discomfort. Lin Xiaodi then deliberately occupied the bathroom, stalling and prolonging his agony.
Suddenly, Zhao Muran arrived at the apartment, intending to tell Lin Xiaodi that he had found a new place for her to move into. Lu Yuheng, still battling his stomach issues, blocked Zhao Muran, leading to a heated confrontation. Hearing the commotion, Lin Xiaodi quickly emerged and tried to usher Zhao Muran away, firmly stating she wasn’t moving. Unwilling to endure the situation further, Lu Yuheng abruptly pulled Lin Xiaodi away from Zhao Muran.
After Zhao Muran left, Lu Yuheng confronted Lin Xiaodi, accurately guessing she had added something to his juice that caused his stomach problems. Lin Xiaodi admitted to adding a small amount of milk as a “small revenge,” surprised by his strong reaction. Angry, Lu Yuheng told her to leave. Lin Xiaodi apologized, admitting she had gone too far and promised to "take responsibility."
Lu Yuheng then instructed her to stay until he fell asleep and demanded she sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to lull him to sleep. The next day, Lin Xiaodi debuted her Hanfu stall at an exhibition, with Han Ruibing modeling her designs and Liu Yan helping. Lu Yuheng also arrived, claiming he needed to buy a new plate, a subtle reference to a cup Lin Xiaodi had recently broken at his home.
The stall quickly attracted attention due to Lin Xiaodi's innovative designs that blended traditional and modern aesthetics. Ding Yuan, a refined gentleman and the exhibition's director, observed her work with keen interest. He complimented her unique ideas and talent but pointed out a traditional Hanfu design flaw: authentic Hanfu uses ties, not external buttons. Lin Xiaodi gratefully accepted his feedback, feeling ashamed of her oversight, and immediately decided to withdraw the current garments from sale to refine her designs.
Ding Yuan, impressed by her humility and talent, gave her his business card, hoping to collaborate in the future. Han Ruibing wondered if Ding Yuan was romantically interested in Lin Xiaodi, but Lin Xiaodi quickly dismissed the idea, focused on her improvements. Later, Zhao Muran unexpectedly arrived at Lin Xiaodi's stall. Fearing his fans would recognize him and cause chaos, Lin Xiaodi frantically tried to get him to leave, but struggled to persuade him.
Lu Yuheng warned them to stop creating a disturbance. However, it was too late; Zhao Muran’s hat fell off, revealing his identity. A massive crowd of fans instantly swarmed the stall, creating a dangerous stampede that trapped Lin Xiaodi and caused her to lose her shoes and injure her feet. Seeing the escalating danger, Lu Yuheng quickly intervened, pulling Lin Xiaodi out of the surging crowd.
Despite her concern for her stall, Lu Yuheng, seeing her reluctance, picked her up in a "princess carry" and carried her away from the chaotic scene. Back at Lu Yuheng's apartment, he gently cleaned and bandaged Lin Xiaodi’s injured foot. The close proximity made Lin Xiaodi blush, and the atmosphere between them grew warm and intimate. When she nearly stumbled while getting up, Lu Yuheng instinctively caught her, leading to another tender moment.
After she left, Lu Yuheng smiled to himself, recalling their recent close interactions. Not long after, Su Nian, having seen Liu Yan's earlier social media post with a woman's voice in the background, unexpectedly arrived at Lu Yuheng's apartment to investigate. Mistaking Lin Xiaodi for a new maid, Su Nian imperiously ordered her to wash fruits and get her water.
Lin Xiaodi, recognizing Su Nian as one of Lu Yuheng's many "female admirers," defiantly asserted her indispensable role in Lu Yuheng’s daily life, detailing how he relied on her for breakfast, fresh juice, and peeled fruit every morning. Su Nian, in turn, boasted about her long-standing, close relationship with Lu Yuheng, claiming they were considered a "perfect match" and that she was his "best support."
She subtly belittled Lin Xiaodi, calling her "mediocre" and "tasteless," suggesting Lu Yuheng only kept her out of kindness. Lin Xiaodi countered with even more intimate details, describing seeing Lu Yuheng after his shower, his sweat after workouts, and sharing meals, wake-up times, and even sleep with him. She also highlighted how Lu Yuheng had personally cleaned and bandaged her recent wound and gifted her a set of valuable crystal cups, one of which she "accidentally" broke.
Su Nian, visibly flustered and defeated, abruptly announced her departure, refusing the water she had previously demanded. Left alone, Lin Xiaodi fumed, cursing Lu Yuheng for attracting so many "female admirers."
