As Lin Xiaodi opened the door to the darkened room, the sudden light illuminated her face, stirring a faint memory within Lu Yuheng of a small girl who had once saved him in his childhood. When Lu Yuheng fully awoke, he saw Lin Xiaodi's face close by and even managed a smile before suddenly sitting upright, remembering his predicament. Lin Xiaodi, anticipating his gratitude, imagined herself as a glorious hero in his eyes.

However, Lu Yuheng's first words were an indignant inquiry about why she had taken off his clothes, leaving Lin Xiaodi exasperated. She declared that she would cure his germophobia that very day. After a brief argument where Lu Yuheng indignantly asked how a girl could take off a man's clothes without permission, Lin Xiaodi, unfazed, told him he wouldn't be allowed to shower, vowing to rectify his habits.

Lin Xiaodi prepared porridge for him, but Lu Yuheng refused it, claiming he didn't like eating in his room as it was unhygienic. She chided him for being weak and picky, reminding him that he was lucky it wasn't her father, who would force-feed him. Their argument was interrupted by a knock, and Lin Xiaodi found Zhao Muran at the door. Zhao Muran, jealous of Lin Xiaodi's attentiveness to Lu Yuheng, stormed into the room.

Lu Yuheng, seizing the opportunity to provoke him, made suggestive comments about Lin Xiaodi changing and washing his clothes. Lin Xiaodi, furious, pulled Zhao Muran back, accusing Lu Yuheng of using her to upset her friend. Lu Yuheng defiantly stated his dislike for Zhao Muran and told Lin Xiaodi she was free to move out if she had a problem with it. Lin Xiaodi, deeming him unreasonable, then saw Zhao Muran leave in anger.

Later, Lin Xiaodi got her revenge by giving Lu Yuheng a pink towel, telling him his old one had "accidentally" fallen into the dirty laundry hamper if he preferred that. Lu Yuheng, annoyed but having no other choice, reluctantly used the pink towel. During breakfast, their bickering continued. Lu Yuheng noticed a cut on Lin Xiaodi's hand. She revealed it was due to "someone" who remained ungrateful.

Feeling a pang of guilt, Lu Yuheng offered a sincere thank you for her rescue. Lin Xiaodi, feeling vindicated, graciously accepted his apology and revealed that the special meal had always been meant for him; she had simply wanted to teach him a lesson for his earlier rudeness. As they cleared the air, she mentioned she would be late returning home that day because of a traditional style exhibition.

Meanwhile, Haishen received an update about Lu Yuheng's rescue by a woman while he was unconscious. This confirmed the rumor of Lu Yuheng's nyctophobia, a "fatal flaw" that Haishen intended to exploit at a crucial moment. Back at the house, after Lin Xiaodi left, Lu Yuheng pondered her earlier talk about love luck and wondered if she truly placed a glass of water by her bed.

He investigated her room and indeed found a cup of water, which inexplicably annoyed him. Moments later, Lin Xiaodi realized she forgot her phone and returned. She briefly saw Lu Yuheng in her room, didn't question it, and grabbed a phone, rushing out the door. Unbeknownst to her, she had taken Lu Yuheng's phone and forgotten her entrance ticket for the exhibition.

Lu Yuheng, upon discovering the mix-up and the forgotten ticket, initially grumbled about her carelessness but, with a soft heart, decided to bring her the ticket himself. On his way to the exhibition, Lu Yuheng, who was now carrying Lin Xiaodi's phone, received a call from Lin Xiaodi's friend, Liu Erha (identified as "Liu Erha" in Lin Xiaodi's contacts).

Liu Erha, confused by a man answering Lin Xiaodi's phone, suspiciously questioned Lu Yuheng's identity and his relationship with Lin Xiaodi, accusing him of living with her and flirting. Annoyed by the intrusive questions and the nickname, Lu Yuheng hung up. Upon reaching the exhibition, Lu Yuheng called his own phone, which Lin Xiaodi possessed. Lin Xiaodi answered.

On the phone, Lu Yuheng, having seen the nickname "Mansplaining Addict" assigned to him in Lin Xiaodi's phone, expressed his irritation about it. Lin Xiaodi quickly informed him she was about to go on stage for a performance and would swap phones with him later that night before abruptly hanging up. At the traditional style exhibition, Zhao Muran, who was a special guest, noticed Lin Xiaodi outside, unable to enter.

He discreetly asked Sister Hua to give Lin Xiaodi a ticket without revealing his involvement. Lin Xiaodi browsed the stalls, showing a keen interest in setting up her own, selling handmade hairpins and accessories. However, she learned it required a substantial 5,000 yuan deposit and a two-week approval process, which she couldn't afford.

Unbeknownst to Lin Xiaodi, Zhao Muran, who had been discreetly following her and learned of her desire for a stall, arranged for an event organizer to approach her. The organizer declared her a "lucky participant" whose ticket number matched the event organizer's birthday. She was offered 5,000 yuan and a stall permit if she performed on stage.

Although initially hesitant, fearing she might "ruin" the prestigious event, the mention of the stall permit, which would help her financial situation and house renovation, quickly changed her mind, and she enthusiastically agreed to perform. On stage, Zhao Muran, dressed in elegant Hanfu, delivered a speech as the exhibition's ambassador, emphasizing the revitalization of traditional Chinese culture. He then introduced his surprise dance partner, the "lucky participant," revealing it to be Lin Xiaodi.

Lin Xiaodi, surprised to see Zhao Muran as the guest, found herself dancing with him. During their performance, she stumbled and fell, accidentally landing on Zhao Muran. Moments later, Lu Yuheng rushed onto the stage. He demanded that she leave with him, leading to a tense standoff and argument on stage between Lu Yuheng and Zhao Muran, while Sister Hua desperately tried to remind Zhao Muran of his contract obligations.

Lu Yuheng confronted Lin Xiaodi, asking if she had come to dance with Zhao Muran. She clarified that she was there for the 5,000 yuan prize money and the stall permit, which would enable her to sell her handmade accessories and alleviate her financial difficulties for house renovations. Lu Yuheng, doubting the appeal of her "small things," was met with Lin Xiaodi's passionate defense of her craft, arguing that "smaller things often bring greater consolation." Exasperated, Lu Yuheng took back his phone, effectively washing his hands of the situation and leaving her to deal with it.
