Synopsis
Tong Tiejun and Lin Haiyan are neighbors on Richu Street and they have been in love for many years.
When Tong Tiejun was accidentally involved in a production accident, Lin Haiyan married Chen Yaowu, who also lived on Richu Street, to save Tong Tiejun. Her fate changed.
Soon after the marriage, Chen died in an accident and Lin Haiyan took on the responsibility of the family with much hardship.
She takes care of Tong's kind and gentle mother, Yao Yuling, and Chen's assertive mother, Lu Daying, as well as the two children left behind by Chen's ex-wife: a stubborn girl, Chen Fengshou, and a mentally retarded boy, Chen Shengli.
Conflicts arise in this special family frequently.
When Lin Haiyan's life is once again in trouble, the kind and upright Feng Zhanhua lends her a helping hand as a friend to help her through difficult times.
