Li Da Min was secretly delighted when Song Qingchun sought his help to remove Su Zhinian from the board of directors. Although he maintained a calm exterior, he knew that without Su Zhinian's assistance, Song Qingchun would struggle to establish herself. After Song Qingchun left his office, Li Da Min immediately called his behind-the-scenes boss, Mr. Chen. Li Da Min also gloated about how he had manipulated Song Qingchun into believing Su Zhinian was a traitor.
He confidently assured Mr. Chen that he would complete the assigned task within two months, though Mr. Chen quickly revised the deadline to just one month. Meanwhile, Qin Yinan deliberately kept his relationship with Tang Nuan a secret from Song Qingchun. He called Tang Nuan only after learning that Song Qingchun was going to the hospital to visit her father, Song Meng Hua.

Later, Song Qingchun questioned Su Zhinian about dismissing Cheng Yuanyuan (the secretary involved with Li Damin), arguing that Yuanyuan had redeemed herself. Su Zhinian calmly explained that maintaining strict company rules and separating personal relationships from business decisions was crucial for a leader, or it could lead to further exploitation and disregard for company policies. After the board meeting, Su Zhinian accompanied Song Qingchun to visit Song Meng Hua at the hospital.
