Zheng Dingding was at a loss, but Ning Weijin had already found a suitable hospital and began arranging the transfer. When Dingding heard the news, she hugged Ning Weijin, thanking him for always being there when she needed him most.
Ning Weijin confessed to Dr. Lu, who helped with the transfer, that Chen Xun was his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, explaining his involvement as both a boyfriend wanting his girlfriend freed and a doctor understanding her dedication. In the ward, Chen Xun, acting like a child, refused hospital food and demanded food from their old school canteen. He only recognized Dingding, becoming upset when he saw her with Ning Weijin and asking who Ning Weijin was.
Ning Weijin then took Dingding aside, telling her he had arranged the transfer and expressed his desire for them to "get on the right track" once Chen Xun was settled. Later that day, Ning Weixuan's family and friends, including Ning's father, Yin Fei, Lei, Yunsheng, Gao Ren, and Dingding, gathered at the hospital, anxiously awaiting the results of her surgery. The director personally performed the operation, with Ning Weijin closely observing. The surgery was a success, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Ning Weijin drove Dingding home. Noticing his exhaustion, Dingding offered to massage his shoulders.

As Dingding was preparing to leave for the airport to see Ning Weijin off, she received a frantic call from the hospital: Chen Xun was missing. Dingding immediately launched a search. She called Cat, who organized a search with company staff, while Gao Ren called from the airport, urging her to hurry. Dingding explained Chen Xun's disappearance and promised to come after finding him. Unbeknownst to her, Chen Xun had gone to Wen Zixin's apartment building. As Wen Zixin returned home, they embraced tightly, both relieved. Dingding found them there and, assured Chen Xun was safe, quickly left for the airport.
