> Love is Deep Recap
Chen Xun, suffering from a brain injury and memory loss, was advised by his attending doctor to transfer to a specialized neurological hospital for treatment. Zheng Dingding was at a loss, but Ning Weijin had already found a suitable hospital and began arranging the transfer. When Dingding heard the news, she hugged Ning Weijin, thanking him for always being there when she needed him most.
Ning Weijin confessed to Dr. Lu, who helped with the transfer, that Chen Xun was his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, explaining his involvement as both a boyfriend wanting his girlfriend freed and a doctor understanding her dedication. In the ward, Chen Xun, acting like a child, refused hospital food and demanded food from their old school canteen. He only recognized Dingding, becoming upset when he saw her with Ning Weijin and asking who Ning Weijin was.
Ning Weijin then took Dingding aside, telling her he had arranged the transfer and expressed his desire for them to "get on the right track" once Chen Xun was settled. Dingding agreed, also inquiring about the patient's family causing trouble for Ning Weijin. Back home, Ning Weijin felt depressed. He confided in Gao Ren about Wang Minying's case, where her husband blamed him for her cancer metastasizing after they saved her baby.
Ning Weijin recalled Wang Minying's eyes, full of hope, desiring the child at all costs. This reminded him of his own mother, who, despite suffering from illness, always smiled gently at him and Ning Weixuan. He expressed a sense of helplessness, fearing that Ning Weixuan and Wang Minying might also be taken by illness, just like his mother. Gao Ren encouraged him to stop dwelling on his fears and face reality.
Zheng Dingding and Cat oversaw Chen Xun's transfer to the new hospital. Cat informed Dingding that Chen Xun's mother would arrive in two days, relieving Dingding of her care duties. Dingding expressed relief, believing Chen Xun would recover faster with family support. Cat later tried to jog Chen Xun's memory by talking about their company's early struggles, which helped Chen Xun recall some details about the business.
Cat then presented a proposal ring, reminding Chen Xun that they had picked it out together for Wen Zixin. Confused, Chen Xun asked if it wasn't for Dingding. Meanwhile, Ning Weixuan was preparing for her own surgery. Gao Ren meticulously prepared all her belongings, checking and rechecking a list of items. Ning Weixuan admitted to being nervous, recalling her mother's inability to endure surgical pain, which led her to give up.
The next morning, Gao Ren found Ning Weixuan missing from her room. Panicked, he and others searched for her. Gao Ren eventually found Ning Weixuan at their high school, the place where she first confessed her feelings to him. She explained she had wanted to visit that spot before her surgery and had forgotten her phone. Gao Ren embraced her tightly, expressing his fear of losing her again and regretting not having acknowledged his feelings for her sooner.
Ning Weixuan reassured him that she was no longer afraid with him by her side. She had come to bid farewell to her younger, insecure self, now secure in her love for Gao Ren, and stated that having him and her loved ones meant she had no regrets, no matter the outcome.
Later that day, Ning Weixuan's family and friends, including Ning's father, Yin Fei, Lei, Yunsheng, Gao Ren, and Dingding, gathered at the hospital, anxiously awaiting the results of her surgery. The director personally performed the operation, with Ning Weijin closely observing. The surgery was a success, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Ning Weijin drove Dingding home. Noticing his exhaustion, Dingding offered to massage his shoulders.
Ning Weijin wanted to talk, but Dingding received a message from Cat, stating that due to a company emergency, he needed her to return to the hospital to care for Chen Xun. Additionally, the regular nursing aide, Auntie Chen, had a family emergency and couldn't come, meaning Dingding would need to stay at the hospital for several more days.
Ning Weijin grew frustrated, asking how much more Dingding intended to sacrifice for Chen Xun, questioning if she "owed him from a past life." Dingding retorted that perhaps she owed Ning Weijin instead. Realizing his harshness, Ning Weijin sighed and told her to go. The following morning, Ning Weijin brought breakfast to Dingding, finding her asleep on the sofa, having missed a ringing phone call. He gently carried her to bed, heartbroken by her exhaustion.
He left a note for her to take care of herself. He reflected that as a doctor, he understood her actions, but as a man, he found it difficult to be so magnanimous, watching his girlfriend overwork herself for her ex-boyfriend. Later, Wang Minying contacted Ning Weijin and the director, apologizing for her husband's earlier disturbance.
She explained that while her husband regretted their choice, she cherished the joy of motherhood and was grateful to Ning Weijin and Dr. Shu for allowing her to experience it. Ning Weijin then pressed her about any other medications she might have taken. Wang Minying recalled health products her husband had bought for her. Her husband insisted they were from a legitimate source and had worked for a friend. Ning Weijin clarified that such products could conflict with prescribed medications.
Wang Minying's husband was distraught, realizing his good intentions might have harmed his wife, and pleaded with Ning Weijin to save her. Ning Weijin promised to devise a new treatment plan, instructing her to immediately stop taking the health products. The director informed Ning Weijin that his research report had been approved, with high praise from America. He was invited for a year-long study in the United States and could bring a family member.
Ning Weijin expressed concern about leaving Wang Minying's case, but the director assured him he would personally oversee it, emphasizing this was an invaluable opportunity. Confident, Ning Weijin planned to ask Dingding to accompany him. Dingding, having just received a new contract from Baicha, was overjoyed. However, when Ning Weijin asked her to join him in America, she refused, stating that Chen Xun was in a critical stage of memory recovery and she couldn't abandon her new contract.
Ning Weijin's suppressed frustration erupted; he questioned his priority in her life, feeling that her ex-boyfriend and career always came before him. Dingding, overwhelmed, asked for time to think. Disheartened, Ning Weijin compromised, asking only that she see him off at the airport. Chen Xun's memory had largely recovered; he now remembered his company and Wen Zixin. Following the doctor's advice, Dingding had taken him to many familiar places to aid his recall.
As Dingding was preparing to leave for the airport to see Ning Weijin off, she received a frantic call from the hospital: Chen Xun was missing. Dingding immediately launched a search. She called Cat, who organized a search with company staff, while Gao Ren called from the airport, urging her to hurry. Dingding explained Chen Xun's disappearance and promised to come after finding him. Unbeknownst to her, Chen Xun had gone to Wen Zixin's apartment building. As Wen Zixin returned home, they embraced tightly, both relieved. Dingding found them there and, assured Chen Xun was safe, quickly left for the airport.
