> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Shi Mingyan, Gao Huan, and Ren Feiyang arrived at a ruined temple, where Shi Mingyan exclaimed that her aunt, who had been there unconscious, was now gone. Fearing her aunt might be in danger, they decided to go save her. Meanwhile, Xiao Yiqing fainted in the cold pond. Shu Jingrong immediately jumped into the frigid water to transmit her inner energy and heal him.

Fearing the cold water would harm Shu Jingrong, Xiao Yiqing sealed her acupoints, causing her to cry out for release. He explained that the acupoint would release itself in due time, then forcibly placed her on a nearby stone. Shu Jingrong continued to protest, calling out his name. Elsewhere, Chi Xiaotai and Gao Mengfei received a report that Qiu Hu Yu, Chief of the Storm League, was in action. Chi Xiaotai urged them not to wait and to move fast.

Shi Mingyan, Gao Huan, and Ren Feiyang then discovered Ye Fengsha hanging from a tree, with explosives strapped to her body. Qiu Hu Yu of the Storm League emerged, warning them that if they meddled, this would be their fate. Gao Huan recognized him as Qiu Hu Yu. Qiu Hu Yu then threatened to detonate the explosives if they fought him, boasting it would be three lives for one.

Ren Feiyang, desperate to save his aunt (Shi Mingyan's missing relative), offered to follow Qiu Hu Yu back to Yi Hong Brothel if he released her, but Qiu Hu Yu scoffed that it was too late for regrets. As Qiu Hu Yu lit the rope, Gao Mengfei arrived, and together, they worked to rescue Ye Fengsha. Gao Mengfei, looking at the masked Qiu Hu Yu, found his appearance unsettlingly familiar.

Qiu Hu Yu acknowledged that Snow Tower was indeed nosy, but questioned if they could win the battle despite their numbers. A subordinate then reported that their troops had moved to Jun Mountain, prompting Qiu Hu Yu to order a withdrawal. After the Storm League withdrew, Shu Jingrong, whose acupoints had released, observed that Xiao Yiqing had nearly depleted his inner energy. She immediately plunged back into the cold pond, embracing him tightly.

As Xiao Yiqing's condition stabilized, they emerged from the water. He remarked that her hands were finally warm, unlike before, cherishing the precious moment. Since they couldn't see the Altair and Vega from their current location, he promised to take her to a shadow play when they returned. Shu Jingrong agreed enthusiastically, recalling how she could only listen to such plays when she was blind.

She mused on the Cowherd and Weaver Girl, whose love endured the torment of meeting only once a year, but Xiao Yiqing countered that they bore that torment willingly, for they refused to relinquish their feelings or their love. When Shu Jingrong asked if the Lovesick Tears poison was affecting him, he tried to suppress it with his inner energy, but she quickly stopped him, reminding him that he needed more ice lake treatments and couldn't deplete his energy.

Xiao Yiqing relented, promising to listen to her, but insisted on holding her hands. Chi Xiaotai brought medicine to Ye Fengsha, explaining it was specially prescribed by Doctor Mo to help her fever. Ye Fengsha thanked her, acknowledging the frightening situation and their timely arrival.

Gao Mengfei then instructed Chi Xiaotai to stay and take Ye Fengsha back to Snow Tower once she felt better, assuring them that with Chuihua House guarding, they should face no further trouble from the Storm League. He also asked Gao Huan to look after Lady Ye and keep an eye on the impulsive Chi Xiaotai during the journey.

Chi Xiaotai asked where Gao Mengfei was going, and he revealed he would investigate Qiu Hu Yu and report back to the Tower Master, reassuring her not to worry. After Gao Mengfei left, Chi Xiaotai expressed admiration for Ren Feiyang's bravery, noting how he used only two swords to scare away the Storm League and even saved Gao Huan. Ren Feiyang, however, shrugged off her praise, stating there was nothing to envy in fighting and killing.

Ye Fengsha then remarked on the notorious nature of the pugilistic world. Gao Huan praised Ren Feiyang's heroism for having saved Lady Shi (Shi Mingyan) previously. Ren Feiyang responded that true heroes fight for the weak and uphold justice, hoping to become one himself. Ye Fengsha then admitted her worry for her senior brother, Bi Luo, explaining that he had not appeared despite promising to help her after she sent a letter requesting aid.

She requested Snow Tower's assistance in finding him, believing he might be in danger. Chi Xiaotai affirmed that the Tower Master had always sought Bi Luo to join Snow Tower, making the trip worthwhile. Gao Huan agreed to assist, confident he could find anyone, anywhere. Ye Fengsha then revealed that Bi Luo had mentioned entering Taiping Residence in his letter, so they prepared to set off. Meanwhile, Qing Ming examined Xiao Yiqing, expressing surprise at his strong perseverance.

She confirmed that after several ice lake treatments, his Jue Yin disease was amazingly suppressed. Xiao Yiqing thanked her. Soon after, Nan Chu arrived to escort Xiao Yiqing back to Snow Tower. Xiao Yiqing found it odd that Shu Jingrong had claimed to return to Snow Tower but had been gone since morning. He suspected Nan Chu and Shu Jingrong were hiding something.

Nan Chu finally confessed that Shu Jingrong had gone to search for the Feathered Snow Lotus for him. Qing Hui reported to Ming He and Jia Ruo that Bi Luo, though badly injured in the Flower Thorn Formation, had managed to escape with his extraordinary swordplay. Jia Ruo pressed Qing Hui about hunting him down. Qing Hui explained that if Mistress Ming He hadn't ordered them to spare Bi Luo's life, he would have died.

Unwilling for Bi Luo to serve Moon Sect, Jia Ruo then commanded Qing Hui to kill him. Meanwhile, Bi Luo, covered in wounds, lay in a bamboo forest. Gao Huan, Chi Xiaotai, and Ren Feiyang discovered him, realizing Moon Sect would not rest until he was dead. Gao Huan recognized Bi Luo, telling him that Ye Fengsha, worried about his safety, had requested their help.

He assured Bi Luo that Lady Ye was safe under Snow Tower's protection, acknowledging Bi Luo's toughness for breaking the Flower Thorn Formation. Far away, Shu Jingrong arduously climbed a treacherous snowy mountain. A voice-over from Qing Ming explained that after returning from Flower Palace, Xiao Yiqing suffered from an old cold disease and a hidden poison, which was the Lovesick Tears.

Qing Ming had revealed that only the rare Feathered Snow Lotus, found in the coldest mountain regions where avalanches were easily triggered, could truly cure it, as many who sought it died trying. Shu Jingrong was determined to get the Feathered Snow Lotus. Back at Xiao Yiqing's location, Gao Mengfei reported that Qiu Hu Yu was vigilant, and they had lost track of him after Taiping Residence.

However, his investigation suggested Qiu Hu Yu was most likely Lei Chuyun due to his unique Lei family skills. Xiao Yiqing, shocked by the possibility, ordered Gao Mengfei to take care of the men while he went up the mountain, instructing Huang Quan to take half the men and he the other half. On the perilous snowy mountain, where heavy snow and strong winds threatened avalanches, Shu Jingrong finally managed to pluck the Feathered Snow Lotus.

Immediately, an avalanche struck, sending her tumbling down a cliff, clutching the lotus tightly. She was unexpectedly rescued by Qiu Hu Yu. As Qiu Hu Yu took her forward, they encountered Xiao Yiqing, Huang Quan, and Nan Chu, who were desperately searching for Shu Jingrong. Xiao Yiqing confronted Qiu Hu Yu, recognizing him as Lei Chuyun despite his changed appearance, noting that his voice and eyes were unmistakable.

Qiu Hu Yu taunted Xiao Yiqing, saying that Shu Jingrong was his soft spot, but their enmity with the Lei family would not be easily settled. As they battled, Shu Jingrong regained consciousness and pleaded with Xiao Yiqing not to hurt Qiu Hu Yu, revealing that he had saved her life.

Xiao Yiqing, however, insisted that Lei Chuyun was now Qiu Hu Yu, the leader of the Storm League, whose profit-driven actions made them a fatal cancer to the pugilistic world that he must exterminate. Lei Chuyun retorted that he became who he was thanks to both Xiao Yiqing and Shu Jingrong, claiming that mastering the Dragon Heart skill required destroying his own meridians. In the midst of their confrontation, an arrow from the Moon Sect struck nearby, creating a diversion.

Huang Quan and Nan Chu were puzzled, as Moon Sect had previously massacred the Lei family, yet now helped Lei Chuyun escape. Lei Chuyun seized the opportunity and fled. Shu Jingrong joyfully presented the Feathered Snow Lotus, believing that the Lovesick Tears could finally be cured. However, Xiao Yiqing coldly ordered her to kneel for punishment. He accused her of willfully making decisions and colluding with the Storm League, questioning why Qiu Hu Yu would have saved her otherwise.

Shu Jingrong, pale, asked when she had colluded with them and how she could explain Qiu Hu Yu's actions. When Xiao Yiqing demanded an explanation to spare her, she remained silent, stating she had nothing to say. Xiao Yiqing further chastised her for acting willfully, troubling everyone to save her, and neglecting Snow Tower's priorities, asking if this was how she showed him respect.

He reminded her that all subordinates must obey rules and that no matter how capable, she was merely a pawn to Snow Tower, ordering her to kneel again. As Shu Jingrong knelt, her strength failed, and she coughed up blood before fainting. Xiao Yiqing, instantly regretting his harshness, tenderly caught her and held her, expressing his apologies and relief that the coagulated blood was finally out.

Upon Gao Huan's return with Bi Luo, Ye Fengsha immediately went to check on her senior brother. Chi Xiaotai tried to encourage Ye Fengsha to eat, reminding her that Bi Luo would be fine with Gao Huan's help. Gao Huan then approached Shi Mingyan, delivering grave news: Qiu Hu Yu had sent Storm League assassins to her home. Shi Mingyan was distraught, asking why her family couldn't be spared and condemning the despicable Storm League.

Gao Huan, ordered to leave for rescue, announced his immediate departure, now that Bi Luo was safe. Ren Feiyang volunteered to accompany him, insisting that he wouldn't be a burden and one more man meant one more helper. Gao Huan accepted his offer, telling Lady Shi to await good news. Despite their haste, Gao Huan and Ren Feiyang arrived too late; the entire Shi family had been massacred by the Storm League.

After burying the family members, Ren Feiyang, enraged, suggested they go and kill all of them immediately, eager to prove himself and serve the martial community. Gao Huan, seasoned in the pugilistic world, cautioned that fighting evil wasn't solely about winning, but agreed to go with him. Ren Feiyang, overjoyed, called Gao Huan a good brother, recognizing his underlying caring nature. To solidify their bond before embarking on their perilous journey, Ren Feiyang proposed they swear brotherhood.

Gao Huan initially hesitated, emphasizing the seriousness of such an oath, which entailed helping one another and sharing life and death. Ren Feiyang readily agreed, promising to share life, death, honor, and disgrace. They sealed their brotherhood with a blood oath, clasping their palms together. Ren Feiyang then suggested exchanging swords as a token of their union. Gao Huan took Ren Feiyang's sword, marveling at its quality.

Upon closer inspection, he identified it as the Affection Sword, and realizing its significance, he asked if Ren Feiyang's grandfather was Ren Huanyu. Ren Feiyang confirmed it, expressing surprise that Gao Huan knew the sword and his family connection. Gao Huan explained that he had heard of General Ren Huanyu and was simply taken aback to see the renowned Affection Sword. Gao Huan, with a thoughtful expression, then offered Ren Feiyang a drink, calling their meeting fate.

He asked if Ren Feiyang would regret giving him the Affection Sword, to which Ren Feiyang replied there was no regret between brothers. Gao Huan's eyes then grew murderous, and he darkened his expression before revealing that the sword he had given to Ren Feiyang was called Tear-stained, one of the three swords forged by Master Shao Kong Zi, ranking alongside Affection and Farewell, known for its threatening aura when created. As he drank the wine to seal their brotherhood, Gao Huan wondered if all of this was truly "god's will."
