However, the carefully choreographed welcome ceremony was immediately upstaged by Master Zhong Xi's sudden appearance, whose powerful aura completely overshadowed Zhou Xiao. During a walk, Kong Hou nearly slipped, and Master Zhong Xi swiftly protected her. In doing so, he fell into a bed of thorny flowers, leaving his back pricked and intensely itchy. Kong Hou offered to scratch his back, but he politely refused.
She then found some ice and applied a cold compress to his back, which provided significant relief. Master Zhong Xi, feeling jealous of Kong Hou's time with Zhou Xiao, subtly inquired about his standing in her heart. Kong Hou innocently ranked her Senior Ling Hui first, Master Zhong Xi second, and Zhou Xiao somewhere in the "teens," a ranking Master Zhong Xi found surprisingly acceptable.
Outside, Master Shuang Qing, who had planned to check on Master Zhong Xi, overheard their conversation.
