Flying up without Disturb Episode 6 Recap
> Flying up without Disturb Recap
Master Zhong Xi hurried into Kong Hou's room and found her caught in a net. Kong Hou explained that the net was a spiritual tool given to her by her sect members for self-defense during her upcoming trials, but she hadn't learned how to use it properly. Master Zhong Xi helped to free her from the entanglement. Seizing the opportunity, Kong Hou earnestly requested to accompany Master Zhong Xi on his journey.
Although he secretly welcomed her presence, he feigned hesitation, making an excuse that he needed her assistance in finding herbs and required protection due to his own injuries. Kong Hou eagerly promised not to be a burden and vowed to help him gather all the necessary herbs. She reminded him of her ambition to become a heroine who helps those in need, pointing out that he was currently the one in need of help.
As they embarked on their journey, Lin Hu grumbled from the carriage, complaining about Kong Hou's presence. He suspected she was merely trying to gain spiritual energy from Master Zhong Xi. Master Zhong Xi, however, dismissed his concerns. Later, Kong Hou decided to send a message to her master, but she moved away from Master Zhong Xi and Lin Hu, warning them not to approach.
She explained that her master disapproved of her association with Huan Zong (Master Zhong Xi), and if he overheard his voice, he would surely come to take her back. While Kong Hou was away, Lin Hu questioned Master Zhong Xi about why they were even traveling with her. Master Zhong Xi clarified that Master Wang Tong was concerned that Kong Hou regulating his spiritual energy might provoke heavenly thunder.
Lin Hu then revealed that he had once visited Kong Hou, and her master had mistakenly believed he was there to help her regulate Master Zhong Xi’s energy, becoming enraged and driving him away before he could explain. Despite his growing concern for Kong Hou, Master Zhong Xi respected her warning and stayed put. Meanwhile, Kong Hou found herself ambushed by a group of dark cultivators in the forest.
Just as she was in a perilous situation, Zhou Xiao, the chief disciple of the Yuanji Sect, appeared and bravely came to her rescue. As Kong Hou expressed her gratitude, Jin Ling, another disciple from the Yuanji Sect, also arrived, whom Kong Hou immediately recognized as a music cultivator. Lin Hu, witnessing the unfolding danger, hesitated to intervene, reminding Master Zhong Xi of Kong Hou's earlier warning.
However, Master Zhong Xi sensed the severity of the situation and, along with Lin Hu, quickly joined the fray, collectively driving off the dark cultivators. Zhou Xiao warmly invited Kong Hou to be a guest at the Yuanji Sect. Kong Hou initially declined, stating her preference to continue with Master Zhong Xi. However, Master Zhong Xi suggested she seek guidance from Jin Ling, noting her expertise as a music cultivator.
Lin Hu chimed in, mentioning Jin Ling's esteemed ranking as the eleventh music cultivator in the Lingyou Realm, which sparked Kong Hou's excitement. Jin Ling, however, expressed a hint of disdain, having heard that Kong Hou couldn't even play her own spiritual tool. Despite this, Kong Hou eventually agreed to visit the Yuanji Sect with Zhou Xiao, and Master Zhong Xi also decided to accompany them.
Zhou Xiao inwardly fretted, concerned that Master Zhong Xi’s unexpected presence might disrupt his plans, but he dared not offend a disciple from the prestigious Liuguang Sect. As they traveled, Master Zhong Xi and Lin Hu discussed the unusual behavior of the dark cultivators, suspecting a deeper connection to the Yuanji Sect. Master Zhong Xi even discovered a flower tainted with dark energy near the sect grounds, fueling his suspicions.
At the Yuanji Sect, Master Shuang Qing, the sect leader, confided in his son, Zhang Feng, about his ambition to elevate their sect into the Ten Great Sects. He proudly revealed his elaborate scheme to arrange a marriage between Zhou Xiao and Kong Hou, believing this alliance would bring prestige. He admitted to staging the "hero saves damsel" encounter to bolster Zhou Xiao’s heroic image. His next step was to host a grand welcome, followed by their wedding.
However, the carefully choreographed welcome ceremony was immediately upstaged by Master Zhong Xi's sudden appearance, whose powerful aura completely overshadowed Zhou Xiao. Upon learning that Master Zhong Xi was a disciple of the Liuguang Sect, Master Shuang Qing quickly altered his plans, deciding that Jin Ling should marry Master Zhong Xi instead. He explained to Jin Ling that this would secure alliances with two major sects. Despite her affection for Zhou Xiao, Jin Ling reluctantly agreed to her master's command.
Determined to further win Kong Hou’s favor, Master Shuang Qing discovered that she, unlike the fasting Yuanji Sect disciples, still ate regular food, and that cooking was no longer a common practice in his sect. He ordered all disciples with culinary skills to assemble in the kitchen, promising generous rewards. He then instructed Zhou Xiao to personally deliver the finest dishes to Kong Hou, falsely claiming he had prepared them himself.
During dinner, Kong Hou, thoroughly engrossed in the delicious scallion oil noodles and other dishes, remained oblivious to the romantic candlelight setting arranged for her. Master Zhong Xi and Lin Hu observed from a distance, with Lin Hu wondering if Zhou Xiao harbored feelings for Kong Hou. Master Zhong Xi subtly told him to "remember." Master Zhong Xi then joined Kong Hou and Zhou Xiao.
Zhou Xiao attempted to explain that Yuanji Sect disciples sometimes ate, unlike the strict fasting practices of the Liuguang Sect. Master Zhong Xi pressed him about the unusual presence of dark cultivators near the Yuanji Sect, but Zhou Xiao dismissed his concerns, calling them audacious and claiming they had caused trouble in other cities like Sanshu City.
Kong Hou, ever optimistic, remarked that the dark cultivator incident led her to meet Jin Ling, and she still intended to seek her guidance. Master Zhong Xi, however, pointed out her inaction, to which Kong Hou admitted she was too hungry, promising to consult Jin Ling the next morning. Master Zhong Xi then deliberately acted intimately with Kong Hou, much to Zhou Xiao's surprise and irritation, creating a clear rivalry between the two men.
Later, Lin Hu reported to Master Zhong Xi that while the external areas of the Yuanji Sect seemed normal, a courtyard in the back was heavily guarded, and Master Zhong Xi ordered him to investigate further. During a walk, Kong Hou nearly slipped, and Master Zhong Xi swiftly protected her. In doing so, he fell into a bed of thorny flowers, leaving his back pricked and intensely itchy. Kong Hou offered to scratch his back, but he politely refused.
She then found some ice and applied a cold compress to his back, which provided significant relief. Master Zhong Xi, feeling jealous of Kong Hou's time with Zhou Xiao, subtly inquired about his standing in her heart. Kong Hou innocently ranked her Senior Ling Hui first, Master Zhong Xi second, and Zhou Xiao somewhere in the "teens," a ranking Master Zhong Xi found surprisingly acceptable.
Outside, Master Shuang Qing, who had planned to check on Master Zhong Xi, overheard their conversation. Misinterpreting their exchange as a romantic one, he believed Master Zhong Xi’s injury was fortuitous, as it seemed to foster intimacy between him and Kong Hou. Still eager to see Zhou Xiao succeed, Master Shuang Qing decided to adapt his plan, resolving that Zhou Xiao should feign an injury to attract Kong Hou's sympathy and attention. The following day, Master Shuang Qing hosted a martial arts contest and invited Kong Hou to attend.
