Qi Xun confronted Shen Tong, demanding to know her true intentions. Shen Tong revealed her life story, explaining that since childhood, she possessed a unique ability: anyone she hugged in their moments of pain would instantly forget their suffering and relax. People saw her as good luck, and even her birth was painless for her mother, shocking the hospital staff. She became popular in school, with everyone gathering around her and wanting to be her friend.

Whether they failed exams or suffered heartbreak, a simple hug from her would alleviate their pain and calm them. However, as more and more people sought her out, she realized they were merely using her ability. This changed when she met Xu Yiming, a big boy who laughed a lot. Xu Yiming had admired her since high school, meticulously observing her daily routines. He candidly confessed his feelings for her, asking for her phone number.

Shen Tong, for the first time in her life, felt nervous yet her heart was filled with joy. They fell deeply in love and spent happy days together. Tragically, Xu Yiming passed away at the very place they met, succumbing to sudden cardiac death. Shen Tong explained that because she was with him, his passing was painless and went unnoticed, leading to profound regret and suicidal thoughts.

She was deterred by a friend's words that those who committed suicide couldn't enter heaven, where Xu Yiming was waiting for her. After his death, while volunteering at a hospital, she met Qin Ran, who also suffered from a severe heart condition. She saw Xu Yiming reborn in him and resolved to ensure Qin Ran lived a full life with a healthy heart, hoping Xu Yiming would be proud of her.

Shen Tong then told Qi Xun that she now understood many things, acknowledging that both she and Qi Xun were "patients," but her own condition was beyond any help. She asked Qi Xun to gather everyone, promising a full explanation then, before she left to see Qin Ran. Later, Shen Tong met with Kun Lan, who calmly stated he wouldn't ask questions, trusting Shen Tong to reveal the truth when she was ready.

Shen Tong confirmed she was an ESP user and explained that while other ESP users sought healers to mend their body, she had no such yearning. She admitted she used to fear death when she was deeply in love with Xu Yiming, wanting only to be with him, but that fear was now gone.

She advised Kun Lan that a guardian's true responsibility wasn't about mission, but about protecting what one loves from the heart, emphasizing that life-or-death experiences reveal what truly matters. When Kun Lan asked what he should protect, Shen Tong simply replied, "The present." She then handed him an organ donation consent form, revealing her plan to donate her heart to Qin Ran.

Kun Lan was shocked, questioning if she was truly sure about this, but Shen Tong stated it was destiny, and everything was already arranged. She thanked Kun Lan for his caring and support, then bid him farewell. Preparations were underway for a celebration of Qin Ran's recovery. Qi Tian arrived with a present for Qin Ran. Meanwhile, Shuangshuang, rushing to the hospital, received a letter from Shen Tong from a hospital staff member who offered condolences, signaling Shen Tong's passing.

In her letter, Shen Tong apologized for not saying goodbye in person, fearing she wouldn't have the courage if she saw Shuangshuang crying while trying to smile. She recounted a dream where Shuangshuang questioned her departure, reflecting her own past self. Shen Tong expressed that watching Shuangshuang transition from loneliness to being surrounded by love felt like reliving her own life, and she often envied Shuangshuang.

The letter also revealed that Shen Tong had secretly investigated Qi Xun, confirming his loyalty and deep care for Shuangshuang. She reassured Shuangshuang about her past doubts, recalling their conversation where Shuangshuang worried if Qi Xun's affection was genuine or if he merely wanted to exploit her healing abilities. Shen Tong had promised to uncover the truth, saying that some things become clear with time.

As it suddenly started to rain heavily, ruining the outdoor party, Kun Lan arrived and informed everyone that Shen Tong would not be joining them. He then distributed another letter from Shen Tong to everyone. Qi Tian read it aloud, where Shen Tong wrote that by the time they read the letter, she would be with the person she loved, journeying far away.

She spoke of life's balance – light and shadow, reunion and parting – admitting that her life was a fleeting journey, full of goodbyes. She acknowledged her past fear and how leaving without looking back was an act of cowardice, but now, she urged everyone not to miss her. With newfound courage and freedom, she was off to find her beloved, promising to smile brightly. She entrusted everyone with the care of young Qin Ran.

Despite the profound sadness among everyone, Shen Tong’s sacrifice successfully ensured Qin Ran's recovery. Qi Xun and Shuangshuang later prayed for the departed. Shuangshuang expressed a wish for reincarnation, hoping that death was merely the end of one journey and the beginning of a new one, believing that two people in love could always be together, whether in life or death. At a beautiful place, she wondered if they could live there in the future.

Sometime later, Shuangshuang tried to give Qin Ran his medicine, but he refused, crying for Miss Fairy Tale. He explained that since his recovery, Miss Fairy Tale hadn't visited, making him think she no longer wanted him, despite his efforts to be good and brave during treatments, even with large needles. He reminded Shuangshuang of Miss Fairy Tale's promise to take him to an amusement park once he was well, but she hadn't come.

Shuangshuang lovingly reassured him that Miss Fairy Tale hadn't abandoned him; she had moved to a more important place: into his heart. She explained that Miss Fairy Tale knew Qin Ran’s heartbeats were slower than most, so she now resided there to make his heart stronger and faster. Qin Ran, after being assured that Miss Fairy Tale could hear him, told her that she could come out if she was tired, because he missed her and wanted to play.

Seeing his tenderness moved Shuangshuang to tears, but she quickly composed herself, and Qin Ran cooperatively took his medicine. While asleep, Qi Tian experienced a terrifying premonition. She saw Feng Father angrily confront Qi Xun, accusing him fiercely. Feng Father raged that his wife, Xun Xue, had sacrificed her life to save Qi Xun, and now Qi Xun intended to sacrifice Shuangshuang for Qi Tian's sake. He then violently struck Qi Xun down.

This terrifying vision, emphasizing that the price of healing was one's own life, startled Qi Tian awake, leaving her deeply frightened by the potential future events. Despite the recent emotional turmoil, Qi Xun and Shuangshuang found joy in each other's company, traveling and enjoying a sense of peace. They envisioned getting married, seemingly forgetting any lingering obstacles. In another moment, Qi Tian and Kun Lan were on a playful date.

Qi Tian offered Kun Lan a selection of candies, including strawberry, lemon, and cantaloupe. When Kun Lan chose strawberry, Qi Tian playfully ate it herself, teasing him about not getting what he liked. She then unexpectedly kissed Kun Lan, telling him that now, every time he tasted a strawberry, he would be reminded of her.

Shi Lang, observing from a distance, was impressed by Qi Tian’s dating prowess, noting how formidable she was in romance and deeming Kun Lan quite fortunate. Qi Tian briefly acknowledged Shi Lang before carrying on with Kun Lan, suggesting another place they could go together.
