Qi Shuo appeared distressed, realizing the money at the noodle stand held a significant clue. Meanwhile, An Zhenzhen's mother grew worried when her calls for breakfast went unanswered. Discovering An Zhenzhen's room empty, she frantically began searching. Feeling increasingly agitated after his actions, Qi Shuo found a note secretly placed in his book by Jiangling, requesting a meeting in the sports room. This further unsettled him, and he sought out Qiu Qian to discuss it.

Qiu Qian, upon seeing the note, immediately left. In the sports room, Qi Shuo, holding a baseball bat, attempted to ambush Jiangling, but Jiangling swiftly overpowered him. As Jiangling confronted Qi Shuo about the stolen milk money, revealing that the noodle stand owner remembered who had given him the 10 yuan, a commotion erupted outside. Cornered, Qi Shuo confessed, admitting that he had framed An Zhenzhen but had not actually taken the money.

An Zhenzhen was standing dangerously on the school rooftop. Below, students and teachers pleaded with her. Teacher Liu rushed to the rooftop, assuring An Zhenzhen that she believed in her innocence and urging her to come down. An Zhenzhen, overwhelmed, initially turned away, but then her face contorted with anger as she recalled a best friend's betrayal, her parents' initial disbelief, classmates' discussions, and her father's betrayal of their family.

She cried out, accusing her friend of being manipulative and scheming, especially in light of her sister's involvement with An Zhenzhen's father, calling her the "most disgusting and shameless person" she had ever met. Just as she prepared to jump, Gu Ming suddenly arrived, shouting that the money had been found. While An Zhenzhen was momentarily stunned, Jiangling quickly ran up and pulled her to safety. Later, Jiangling confronted Qi Shuo, pressing him for his motive in framing An Zhenzhen.

Though Qi Shuo showed signs of distress, he refused to disclose his reasons. Jiangling gave him three days to explain everything to An Zhenzhen himself. An Zhenzhen returned home, where her mother tried to comfort her, but An Zhenzhen expressed that her mother's initial lack of trust had deeply wounded her, despite her mother's protestations of belief. Qi Shuo then spoke with his older sister, Qi Yan, recounting the events surrounding An Zhenzhen and the milk money.

Qi Yan, upon hearing the story, acknowledged An Zhenzhen's difficult situation, understanding that An Zhenzhen was unaware of her parents' divorce and had been unjustly accused by everyone. Qi Yan also confessed to having a relationship with An Zhenzhen's father, which was a source of great complexity. Qi Shuo explained that he couldn't tolerate An Zhenzhen speaking ill of Qi Yan and had wanted An Zhenzhen to experience the feeling of being falsely accused.

He regretted how seriously things had escalated. Qi Yan, while empathetic, emphasized that the truth about her relationship with An Zhenzhen's father would inevitably come to light, making future encounters with An Zhenzhen complicated. She advised Qi Shuo to assist An Zhenzhen and prepare for the difficult conversation that Jiangling had insisted upon, suggesting it was better to face the truth now than prolong the suffering.

Jiangling found himself back at the noodle stand, looking at the empty seat opposite him, clearly missing An Zhenzhen. Meanwhile, An Zhenzhen remained unhappy at home, unable to find joy, particularly when observing her mother, who had initially doubted her. Her mother continued to care for her diligently. Jiangling tried to reach An Zhenzhen by phone, but her line was off. He walked past places they had shared, recalling their time together. Teacher Liu and Gu Ming later visited An Zhenzhen at home, bringing study materials and well-wishes from their classmates, hoping for her swift return to school.
