Resumen del episodio 9 de The Epoch of Miyu
> Resúmenes de The Epoch of Miyu
Ji Feng met with his former colleague Xue Rui for a meal to discuss the precarious state of the Purong Hotel. Xue Rui, serving as the financial director, compared the hotel to a once-glorious tree now hollowed out by termites. He detailed a culture of systemic corruption where departments prioritized kickbacks, citing wasted wine in the Executive Lounge and laundered project funds. Despite the bleak outlook, Ji Feng confirmed his intention to take over Purong.
He explained that while he had reached a professional ceiling abroad, he was weary of merely serving foreign interests. More importantly, he felt a debt of gratitude to his mentor, Chairwoman Wei Wanjun, and refused to watch the hotel fall into the hands of the Kuanli group. Xue Rui remained skeptical, revealing his own plans to resign and join Yitingsiji instead. Back at the hotel, Xu Miyu found herself in a difficult position with a guest named Mr. Ray.
Knowing his history of inappropriate behavior, she attempted to have a colleague handle his service, but the guest insisted on her presence. Manager Lu Zhenzhen reprimanded Miyu for her "neglect" and refused to believe her claims of harassment without proof. Forced to apologize to avoid a bad review, Miyu asked Yin Xiang for help. When Miyu entered the room to clear the dishes, Mr. Ray locked the door and attempted to assault her, dismissing her warnings of a recording.
Ji Feng, who happened to be passing by, heard the commotion. Using his master card, he entered the room on the pretext of having the wrong door, providing the distraction Miyu needed to escape safely. The fallout of the incident was immediate. Mr. Ray withdrew his investment, prompting a furious Lu Zhenzhen to demand action. Supervisor Zhang Cailu assigned Miyu a bad review and accused her of "signaling" the guest.
However, Ji Feng intervened by contacting Manager Feng of the Room Department, leading to the sudden retraction of the review. The shift in Zhang Cailu’s attitude was instantaneous; believing Miyu had the powerful backing of "Black Card Ji," she began treating her with newfound respect. When Miyu later entered Ji Feng’s room to clear away fruit, she expressed her gratitude. Ji Feng, however, offered a stern critique, suggesting that Miyu’s people-pleasing nature was a liability.
He pointed out that by adding the guest on WeChat, she had bypassed the very rules meant to protect her. Word of Ji Feng’s favor toward Miyu spread through the staff dormitories, with colleagues teasing her about being the protagonist of a "CEO romance." Meanwhile, Ji Feng’s birthday arrived, bringing with it professional stress. While the staff arranged lavish parties to earn commissions, Ji Feng was preoccupied with a legal crisis from his previous post at the Svelto Hotel.
Andy called to report a lawsuit involving Landy Horse. A disease outbreak had resulted in a $10 million loss, and because Ji Feng had signed the original contract, he faced being blacklisted internationally if he couldn’t prove the seller’s liability. The day took a disastrous turn when Duan Aoxiang burst into Ji Feng’s room with a crowd of friends to celebrate. Amidst the chaos, Ji Feng was desperately searching for a backup of the Landy Horse memorandum.
He had finally spread the documents out to photograph them when Miyu entered with a birthday cake. In the commotion of the party, someone pushed her, causing her to trip. The lit candles fell directly onto the memorandum, reducing the vital evidence to ashes. Consumed by rage, Ji Feng ordered everyone out and filed a formal complaint against Miyu.
Feeling deeply wronged, Miyu struck back by calling him a "hypocritical accomplice" who only cared about his own KPIs, reminding him of how he had helped her ex-husband, Nie Yucheng, hide his infidelity in the past. Despite the heated exchange, the crisis was eventually averted when Ji Feng realized he had managed to photograph the essential parts of the memorandum just seconds before the fire. For Miyu, however, the financial toll was heavy.
Between deductions from the earlier incident and the loss of her bonus, her monthly pay plummeted to 2,800 yuan. To make matters worse, she received a call from the police stating that while the man who defrauded her of her rent had been caught, her money was gone. As she walked home in despair, she was cornered by debt collectors.
Ji Feng, out for a night run, happened upon the scene and paid off her debt to get the thugs to leave. The following morning, Miyu returned to Ji Feng’s room to perform her duties. She noticed that the flowers she had previously arranged were back on the table. Finding a loose button on Ji Feng’s sleeve, she quietly sewed it back on and left an IOU for the money he had paid the collectors.
As she left, Yin Xiang pulled her aside with a warning: she had overheard Zhang Cailu plotting to fire Miyu over a secret involving the hotel’s supplies. Remembering Ji Feng’s earlier cryptic request for two different bottles of shampoo from the warehouse, Miyu realized she was becoming entangled in the very corruption Ji Feng was trying to uncover.
