Duan Aoxiang sneaks into the Purong kitchen to taste the experimental Yan Du Xian. After Xue Rui serves him a bowl, Duan admits the flavor is "interesting," nearly matching the skill of the legendary Jia Shikun. He tells Ji Feng to reserve the entire third-floor private section for him on the opening day, promising to bring a large crowd to show support. However, once he steps outside, his tone shifts.

He tells his assistant that Jia Shikun has nothing to worry about because he doesn't intend to give the Purong Chinese Restaurant a single chance to recover. He plans to make sure they go out of business the very day they open on the 18th. Back at the staff apartment, Xu Miyu and Li Qiaoqi roast sweet potatoes together.

Qiaoqi is quick to notice a shift in the "vibe" between Miyu and Ji Feng since their return from the island, accusing Miyu of acting with a guilty conscience. Miyu, still sensitive from her failed marriage, insists it is far too soon to think of anyone else. Qiaoqi disagrees, comparing love to a roasted sweet potato that must be enjoyed while it is still hot.

Meanwhile, in his own room, Ji Feng is distracted by memories of that rainy night on the island when they shared a makeshift bed made of cardboard. In his daze, he accidentally knocks a glass off his desk. Wei Siyuan visits Duan Aoxiang to discuss the upcoming opening. Wei is confused as to why Duan would put so much effort into "supporting" Ji Feng by booking a large private room.

Duan explains that he is merely setting the stage for a performance; how the play actually unfolds will depend entirely on what show Wei wants to see. Later that night, Ji Feng and Miyu make their final rounds in the kitchen. Miyu offers to spend her scheduled day off helping Qiaoqi manage the private rooms. After the team departs, a shadowy figure quietly slips into the kitchen to tamper with the supplies.

On the morning of the grand reopening, Li Qiaoqi discovers that the high-quality salted pork has been swapped for foul-smelling meat. Fortunately, Ji Feng had stored a backup supply of authentic meat in his own room for an emergency. Rather than discarding the sabotaged meat, Ji Feng decides to serve it exclusively to Duan Aoxiang’s party.

As the restaurant fills up, Miyu personally oversees the private rooms where Duan has invited Xiao Zhi, a famous food vlogger, to witness what he expects to be a failure. The plan initially works in Duan's favor when Xiao Zhi tastes the tainted soup and complains that the flavor is off, asking if the chef even bothered to taste it.

Duan seizes the chance to embarrass Purong, inviting his friends to leave for Kuanli Mingjue across the street, where the former Purong chef Jia Shikun is waiting. However, Miyu intervenes with practiced poise. She explains that the previous bowl was merely a "small interlude" involving a "gift" from a guest that their kitchen couldn't handle. She then presents the real signature Yan Du Xian.

Xiao Zhi is delighted by the rich, punchy flavor and Miyu’s storytelling, promising to feature the anecdote in his column. Humiliated by the reversal, Duan Aoxiang storms out of the room. He blames Wei Siyuan for the failure of their scheme, but Wei claims to be just as much in the dark about how the team caught the sabotage. Duan forces Wei to settle the bill for the expensive meal.

Back in the kitchen, the core team celebrates their successful "opening red." While Qiaoqi is eager to hunt down the mole, Miyu suggests they wait and observe; a guilty person will eventually reveal themselves through their nervous behavior. To conclude the day, Qiaoqi uses the remainder of the bad meat to prepare a "salted pork feast" for Duan in his suite, mockingly telling him that such "top-quality" ingredients are a presidential suite exclusive.

Business continues to boom over the following days, but the stress of the constant crowds leads to friction. Qiaoqi openly warns everyone to stay away from her ingredients and suspects Guo Luda of being the one who tampered with the meat. This leads to a heated argument in the kitchen where Guo Luda defensively claims he would change his surname to Li if he ever touched her pork.

In the lobby, Miyu handles a difficult situation involving a guest from room 1815 who wants to eat the famous soup but is worried about missing his late check-out deadline. Miyu offers to hold his place in the queue personally so he can go pack his bags. The surge in popularity eventually leads to a supply crisis. The kitchen finds itself with only ten portions of Yan Du Xian left and fifty tables waiting.

Ji Feng quickly contacts the suppliers from Linglong Town, who promise a delivery by 3 PM. In the meantime, a confrontation breaks out between two families in the queue over their numbers. Miyu steps in with a clever compromise, suggesting that the families split a large portion into small individual bowls, allowing everyone to taste the dish while paying a more affordable price. She also offers free desserts to the children to settle the dispute.

That evening, the exhausted team gathers to eat together, reflecting on how hard they worked to save the restaurant's reputation. Miyu reveals the true cause of the sudden rush: a top-tier travel vlogger named Dian Jiangchun visited and gave them a glowing review. The vlogger described their Yan Du Xian as the "unmissable hint of freshness in spring," providing the hotel with invaluable publicity. As they celebrate, Ji Feng pulls Miyu aside to ask if she has a minute to talk privately.
