Sinopsis
In the seventh year of the Tianqi era, seventy-three members of the Yunzhou Prefect's household died mysteriously, leaving behind only seven bloody fingerprints and eerie ghost fires. The court hastily closed the case, attributing it to supernatural forces. Shen Qingshan, the Vice Minister of Justice who insisted on investigating further, died of illness three days later—but his body was never found. His son, Shen Mo, was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau as a clerk, where he spent seven years quietly searching for the truth.
Seven years later, a blood-stained scroll without a single character emerges. When held to candlelight, a cryptic prophecy appears: "At midnight, seven souls shall be bound; blood jade shall be the guide; the cycle of reincarnation shall not cross."
At the city's funeral home, seven empty coffins arranged in the pattern of the Big Dipper are discovered, each filled with blood-chilling water and jade marrow.
