After Long Riyi and Zhang Jingmei shared a kiss, Jingmei began to actively avoid him at school. Long Riyi, however, insisted that she was his girlfriend, reminding her of their kiss as proof. Jingmei repeatedly told him to stop, firmly stating that she didn't have a boyfriend and had no feelings for him, neither in the past, present, nor future. Meanwhile, Long Haiyi was at the hospital, diligently caring for Yoona. He reaffirmed his commitment to always look after her.
He suggested visiting her parents once she recovered, but Yoona’s reaction was conflicted. She knew her family disapproved of their relationship, viewing Long Haiyi as merely a stepson of the Long family, a status they considered beneath the Bai family. Overwhelmed by the difficulties ahead, Yoona held onto Long Haiyi, making him promise to never let go of her, no matter what challenges they might face. Back at school, Long Riyi was visibly distracted during class, murmuring Jingmei's name.
His friends, Cuttlefish and Squid, had never seen him act this way. They suspected he was truly in love and decided to confirm it by having him take a psychological questionnaire. Riyi initially resisted, insisting Jingmei was already his girlfriend, but eventually relented. After analyzing his answers, Cuttlefish and Squid proudly declared that Riyi had fallen deeply in love with Jingmei. Embarrassed, Riyi denied it and quickly left.
Cuttlefish and Squid then approached Jingmei, excitedly relaying Long Riyi's feelings for her. Jingmei, however, claimed to have feelings for someone else and asked them to tell Riyi to stop bothering her. Cuttlefish recognized her words as one of "women's Five Lies" and was puzzled why both Riyi and Jingmei continued to deny their feelings, especially after having shared a kiss. Unbeknownst to them, Han Zhihe overheard their conversation.
Angered by the news of Riyi and Jingmei's kiss, she instructed her followers to keep a close watch on Jingmei's every move. Later, one of Han Zhihe's followers secretly entered the library and stole Jingmei's phone, delivering it to Zhihe. Zhihe then used Jingmei's phone to send a text message to Long Riyi, arranging to meet at 8 PM near her house, a spot her follower confirmed Jingmei frequently passed on her way home from a nearby supermarket.
Long Riyi arrived at the appointed time, only to find Han Zhihe waiting for him, not Jingmei. Zhihe confessed her feelings and declared her desire to be his girlfriend. Long Riyi firmly rejected her, stating that Zhang Jingmei was his only girlfriend and there was no comparison between the two women. Just as he was telling Zhihe to stop her tricks, Jingmei walked past. Seizing the opportunity, Han Zhihe grabbed Long Riyi and kissed him, ensuring Jingmei witnessed the act.
Heartbroken, Jingmei turned and walked away, telling Riyi to never bother her again. Riyi immediately pushed Zhihe away and rushed to explain to Jingmei. As he chased after her, calling her name across the street, Long Riyi was struck by a car. Jingmei watched in horror, then rushed to his side, crying and begging him to wake up. Long Riyi was rushed to the hospital.
When he regained consciousness, he recognized the name "Jingmei" as his girlfriend, but he didn't recognize the Zhang Jingmei standing before him, nor his friends Cuttlefish and Squid. Cuttlefish and Squid quickly realized he was suffering from amnesia. Jingmei tried to offer him soup, but Riyi rejected it, still unable to recall her. Shortly after, Bingbing arrived to visit.
Riyi mistook Bingbing for Jingmei, grabbed her hand, hugged her, and commented on her apparent weight gain, much to Zhang Jingmei's dismay. Cuttlefish and Squid pulled Zhang Jingmei aside, explaining that the most crucial task was to help Riyi regain his memory. They suggested using "memory stimulation," specifically a special memory that made his heart race.
As Riyi leaned in to kiss Bingbing, Zhang Jingmei burst into the room, stopping Bingbing and declaring that she would help Long Riyi recover his memory, but with a different method.
