Facing the evidence and Chen Kaixi's anger, Chen Mian not only showed no remorse but became even more furious, claiming that Chen Kaixi was investigating him without reason and was just listening to baseless rumors. He still wouldn't admit that he had someone outside until Chen Kaixi stated the truth. Only then did Chen Mian admit his mistake to Chen Kaixi.

That evening, Chen Kaixi told Luo Man what had happened and asked Luo Man what Chen Mian should do next. Luo Man told Chen Kaixi that Chen Mian would definitely continue to invest heavily (try to appease her). The next morning while eating, Chen Kaixi's father called to ask about the villa. Chen Kaixi was unaware.

Chen Mian took the call and spoke with Chen Kaixi's father, and only then did Chen Kaixi understand that it turned out Chen Mian had specifically bought a villa for Chen Kaixi's parents. Chen Mian's action happened to confirm Luo Man's prediction, which made Chen Kaixi feel even more uneasy. Luo Man was at home when Zhou Musun suddenly sent her a photo. It was a photo taken when Luo Man and Chen Kaixi were eating together before.

And behind that photo, Zhou Musun happened to be eating at a restaurant as well. The implication was that he wanted to tell Luo Man that they had a connection long ago. Chen Mian came to the hospital to bring food to Fang Chi.

Fang Chi also advised Chen Mian to consider his family, especially a woman like Chen Kaixi, who is very good. Chen Mian knew his brother was wrong.

Feeling guilty towards Chen Kaixi, he called Chen Kaixi to remind her to pay close attention to Chen Mian's business affairs. Chen Kaixi went with Luo Man to find a lawyer to investigate. They found that all of Chen Mian's company shares were held by Zhang Fan on his behalf. This meant that everything Chen Mian had said before about not arguing with Chen Kaixi over shares was false. This was equivalent to Chen Kaixi not getting any shares.

Luo Man also found Fang Chi and blamed him for telling Chen Kaixi the truth. Fang Chi remembered that Chen Kaixi smiled very happily when she got married, but now Chen Kaixi's face was completely gray, showing no sign of happiness. Fang Chi felt it was Chen Mian's fault.
