Luo Man wanted to find a patient to film for the documentary and discovered it was none other than Zhou Musun. Meeting again, the two were much calmer than before. Zhou Musun could even tell that Luo Man had lost weight and asked about her recent life with concern. Luo Man thought Zhou Musun would refuse to be filmed and did not ask further, but Zhou Musun agreed to participate in the documentary to support Luo Man's work.

After the documentary was filmed, Zhou Musun suggested taking Luo Man out for dinner, but Luo Man flatly refused, claiming she was going out to eat with Fang Chi. Hearing this, Zhou Musun became a little sarcastic, perhaps wanting to assert his dominance. Fang Chi didn't pay much attention and deliberately made their relationship sound very close, appearing composed.

After they left, Luo Man thanked Fang Chi for helping her escape the difficult situation, but Fang Chi was angry when he heard the content of Luo Man's thanks. Chen Mian's car was caught violating traffic rules, and the photo coincidentally captured him being intimate with a woman in the car. When Chen Kaixi saw the photo, she called Chen Mian. They didn't say much, and Chen Kaixi didn't have the courage to bring up the photo.

She just said a few simple words and hung up. Luo Man was being persistently questioned by Fang Chi to admit their relationship. The usually composed Luo Man was now a bit timid and didn't know how to answer. Just then, Chen Kaixi called Luo Man. When the two best friends met, Chen Kaixi told her about Chen Mian. This time was different from before because the woman was pregnant.

Luo Man was furious upon hearing this and gave Chen Kaixi advice, telling her she must get evidence. Luo Man helped Chen Kaixi search her computer for evidence regarding Chen Mian. She found that Chen Mian often played games on his computer and that Zhong Qingcheng was among his contacts.

Their conversation had a hint of ambiguity, revealing that Zhong Qingcheng and Chen Mian had been in contact all along, contrary to the surface appearance that Zhong Qingcheng had distanced herself from Chen Mian. Coincidentally, Zhong Qingcheng and Chen Mian also arranged to meet. Their conversation was like that of very familiar friends. Luo Man and Chen Kaixi found Zhong Qingcheng and asked about her relationship with Chen Mian.

Zhong Qingcheng immediately denied it, finding an excuse that she was currently in the prime of her career and it was impossible for her to have a child with Chen Mian. Just then, Zhou Musun passed by and saw them. Luo Man and Chen Kaixi, of course, knew Zhong Qingcheng was making excuses. This meeting also signaled the complete end of the three women's friendship.

Luo Man watched the documentary footage and saw that Fang Chi and Liu Yiran were very close, which made her feel a pang of jealousy. That night, Luo Man secretly called Chen Kaixi out of worry for her. The next day, Chen Kaixi showed Luo Man a video of Chen Mian with a pregnant woman. Chen Kaixi also knew the woman; she was Chen Mian's assistant.

Luo Man also felt that Chen Mian had gone too far and said she would always support Chen Kaixi, even claiming that Chen Mian was their common enemy. Chen Mian even invited Luo Man to dinner, and Luo Man readily agreed. She pretended to be nonchalant and went to Chen Kaixi's house. Chen Mian also invited Fang Chi and Zhou Musun, stating that it was to thank Zhou Musun for helping him. After dinner, everyone sat together chatting.

Chen Mian constantly spoke with a sarcastic tone towards Luo Man and also saw that Fang Chi wanted to be with Luo Man, continually advising Fang Chi against it. Fang Chi wanted to defend Luo Man, but Luo Man stopped him. Luo Man directly expressed her meaning to Chen Mian, telling him to just say what he wanted to say. Just then, the nanny at the house brought something, saying it was from her hometown.

When Chen Kaixi saw the gift, she looked flustered. It turned out to be a pair of shoes. She then claimed she suddenly felt unwell and asked everyone to leave first, also dismissing the nanny. Only Chen Kaixi and Chen Mian were left. When they were alone, Chen Kaixi became angry. The shoes were for the child, and Chen Mian's family had made a mistake.
