At a corner of Qingcai Academy's sports field, Yu Mingxi was helping her best friend, Wang Chunian, read aloud a ghostwritten love letter. The target was originally Jiang Bohan of the basketball team. Yu Mingxi recognized Jiang Bohan – the two had met through a street conflict: that night, Jiang Bohan was being beaten by thugs led by Yan Zhengwen, and Yu Mingxi, passing by, splashed the thugs with soy milk and pulled him to escape.
Yu Mingxi was exceptionally admitted to Qingcai Academy as a "positive example" but was forced to work part-time at a convenience store due to high extracurricular expenses. To earn extra money, she took on the task of distributing flyers on campus and used the opportunity to demonstrate to her best friend, Wang Chunian, "how to naturally hand over a love letter."
