Butterflied Lover Episode 13 Recap
> Butterflied Lover Recap
Princess Bao Zhu was delighted to learn that Tang Qianyue was pregnant. The two women made plum wine together, intending to bury it under a tree and retrieve it to celebrate after Tang Qianyue gave birth. Tang Qianyue stood happily under a peach blossom tree, holding the plum wine and watching the petals fall around her. Suddenly, Mo Kui petals began to fall.
Tang Qianyue felt a pang in her heart, and the plum wine slipped from her hands, shattering on the ground as she collapsed. Princess Bao Zhu was frantic at the sight of Tang Qianyue on the ground. Ling Changfeng, noticing the falling Mo Kui flowers, rushed back. Seeing Tang Qianyue unconscious, he assured the anxious Princess Bao Zhu that it was not her fault.
He quickly draped a cloak over Tang Qianyue and, using Princess Bao Zhu's carriage, hurried to leave Lingtian City. Meanwhile, The Honorable Marshal, who had secretly arranged for the Mo Kui petals to be scattered across the city to flush out Butterfly Slaves, recognized Princess Bao Zhu's speeding carriage and ordered his men to stop it. Ling Changfeng was forced to appear and stated that Tang Qianyue was inside.
The Honorable Marshal questioned his reason for leaving the city at such a time. Ling Changfeng explained that Tang Qianyue was pregnant, and the sudden Mo Kui flowers had caused her to faint, making it urgent for them to leave. Upon hearing that Tang Qianyue was pregnant, The Honorable Marshal immediately allowed them to pass. Ling Changfeng took Tang Qianyue to Granny Yuan.
After examining Tang Qianyue, Granny Yuan believed it was a miracle she had survived this long and stated that she could no longer help. Ling Changfeng was distraught but then remembered a bottle of medicine Princess Bao Zhu had given him. Though Princess Bao Zhu had not explicitly said it was Kirin blood, Ling Changfeng suspected it was. When Granny Yuan saw the Kirin blood, she immediately began treating Tang Qianyue.
Unbeknownst to them, Ling Changjin had been keeping his elder sister hidden in a secret room. With the sudden scattering of Mo Kui flowers, pollen seeped through the vents, worsening his sister's condition. Kun Qing explained to Ling Changjin that while all air-vents had been blocked, many petals had already drifted in, causing his sister's skin to burn. Kun Qing also informed him that their supply of Kirin blood was exhausted.
Ling Changjin wondered how much more blood was needed for her to wake up and felt guilty for continuously taking blood from Princess Bao Zhu. Princess Bao Zhu, having discovered Ling Changjin's secret room, secretly followed him inside. She just happened to realize Ling Changjin was worrying about the need for Kirin blood. She revealed herself and demanded to know who was lying on the bed.
Kun Qing confirmed it was Ling Changjin's elder sister and that she was in danger, requiring Kirin blood. Princess Bao Zhu immediately understood that her own Kirin blood could save her. Without hesitation, she took a hairpin, cut her palm, and instructed Kun Qing to collect the blood to save Ling Changjin's sister.
Ling Changjin watched Princess Bao Zhu's blood drip, feeling a mix of emotions; he wanted to save his sister but did not want to harm Princess Bao Zhu. Once enough blood was collected, he quickly stopped the bleeding and led Princess Bao Zhu back to her room to personally treat her wound. Ling Changjin expressed his frustration, reminding her that he had married her for her blood.
Princess Bao Zhu calmly reiterated her belief that human life is of utmost importance, saying that even if the person in the secret room wasn't his sister, she would still have helped. This profound conviction began to soften Ling Changjin's long-held resentment towards Princess Bao Zhu, stemming from his sister's proxy marriage. Despite verbally calling her annoying, he cooperatively bandaged her hand, tying the gauze into a butterfly knot and even adding color at her request.
Meanwhile, Granny Yuan administered the Kirin blood to Tang Qianyue but admitted that whether she would wake up was now a matter of fate. Ling Changfeng, too worried to eat, remained by Tang Qianyue's bedside, determined to watch over her until she regained consciousness.
