Later, Lu Wanqing brought her father, Lu Wenyuan, a cup of Pu'er tea. Lu Wenyuan acknowledged the strong performance of Meilian, the company she managed, and noted her resilience despite their mother's situation. He urged her not to solely focus on work and studies but to also embrace life. Although it wasn't her actual birthday, Feng Muchen had organized a surprise celebration for her "day of rebirth," a gesture which Ye Wange internally wondered if it was a way for him to confirm her identity. Ning Yuan and Yun Yi happily observed that Ye Wange had returned to her lively, even sassy self, now seemingly closer to Feng Muchen. Su Yinyin and Chengji took charge of the kitchen, ready to prepare a homemade feast.
Chengji awkwardly tried to help Su Yinyin put on her apron and tie her hair, even jokingly bringing a fire extinguisher, leading her to playfully tease him about his clumsiness and lack of experience with girlfriends. He admitted he was willing to learn if she would teach him. Their affectionate banter prompted Feng Muchen to playfully tease the "couple," but Ye Wange intervened, suggesting he leave them be.
Ning Yuan expressed his delight at Ye Wange’s return to her spirited, sassy self, noting her strengthened bond with Feng Muchen. Ye Wange acknowledged Feng Muchen's kindness and expressed her deep trust in Ning Yuan, Su Yinyin, Yun Yi, Zou Chengji, Lu Wanqing, and Chen Ye, considering them all wonderful. Ning Yuan attributed their positive qualities to Ye Wange’s own goodness.
Ye Wange then asked Ning Yuan what he would most want to do if he no longer had to protect her. Ning Yuan replied that his purpose in this world was to exist for her, so he would do whatever she desired. Hearing this, Ye Wange gently advised him to prioritize his own happiness and well-being in the future, regardless of circumstances. As everyone gathered to eat cake, Ye Wange made three wishes.
First, she wished for an swift end to their current situation. Second, she hoped that once back in reality, she could be Feng Muchen’s superhero, and they would reunite, with him remaining her superhero. Finally, she wished for the lasting happiness and joy of all her friends, including Su Yinyin, Ning Yuan, and the others, after she eventually departed from the novel world.
