The following morning, he knocked on Lin Feifei's door, explaining he couldn't sleep without Zhou Shi, claiming she had been sleeping with him lately and he wasn't accustomed to her absence. Lin Feifei informed him that Zhou Shi had gone on an art trip with her department, led by Zhang Shuai.
She questioned Wei Qing's intense concern, reminding him he had previously stated their relationship was merely for treatment. Wei Qing insisted he had a right to know her whereabouts since she disappeared without notice while treating him. He explicitly instructed Lin Feifei not to tell Zhou Shi he was looking for her. After Wei Qing left, Lin Feifei and Bi Qiujing immediately texted Zhou Shi, revealing that Wei Qing liked her.
Upon receiving her roommates' messages, Zhou Shi ignored Wei Qing's calls and turned off her phone. Unable to reach her, Wei Qing instructed Wei An to contact Li Ming Cheng. She explained that her abrupt departure was due to overwhelming stress and guilt over the cat incident, and she needed time to relax. She assured him her absence wouldn't impede his treatment but expressed a desire for it to conclude quickly so they could both return to their normal lives. Feeling hurt, Wei Qing retorted that he would leave the next day if helping him was such a burden.
Zhou Shi then asked him to move to the adjacent room for the night, explaining that her classmates were present. Wei Qing agreed. When Zhou Shi asked Wei An to escort him back, Wei Qing stood up, declared his intention to be with her, and forcefully pulled her outside. Once outside, Wei Qing felt unwell. Zhou Shi expressed concern about him forcing himself to eat. Wei Qing claimed he was cooperating with her treatment and that she was free to leave if she truly didn't want to help him.
He admitted he had thought she no longer disliked him, but now realized she had been forcing herself. Zhou Shi quickly clarified that she was merely afraid their ambiguous relationship would eventually lead to problems. Wei Qing dismissed her fears. Zhou Shi then tentatively asked him to define their relationship: were they friends, patient and healer, or lovers? Wei Qing laughed, calling her paranoid and stating it was "simply a treatment relationship."
He implied that her recent actions stemmed from fear. Zhou Shi pressed him, asking if he had any "other feelings" for her. Sherry then suggested he leave Zhou Shi and be with her. However, observing his pained expression, she concluded that Wei Qing actually liked Zhou Shi. Wei Qing admitted that due to his condition, he had never truly experienced love. Sherry encouraged him to confess his feelings to Zhou Shi, warning that he would surely regret it if he didn't. Wei Qing returned to Wei An and declared that he had finally "figured it out": he truly liked Zhou Shi.
Meanwhile, Bi Qiujing visited Li Ming Cheng at the astronomy club. He asked about Zhou Shi and Wei Qing's relationship. Dr. Chen specifically booked only one room to facilitate the treatment, despite Zhou Shi's strong objections. Wei Qing quickly pulled Zhou Shi away.
It was then revealed that Wei Qing had secretly sought Dr. Chen's help, confessing that his desire to be with Zhou Shi stemmed not from her ability to cure him, but from genuine affection. That evening, Ning Fei, upon hearing about Zhou Shi's impending trip, arranged to go on an art trip to the same location with his aunt. Elsewhere, Bi Qiujing's online friend invited her to meet the following day, an invitation she accepted.
The next day, He Wei arrived at the resort with Lin Feifei. He privately persuaded Lin Feifei to pretend to be his girlfriend for three days, asking her to help him put on a show of being an infatuated lover for his sister's benefit.
