Gong Chen's hand was injured after helping Ma Manager change a light bulb. Despite his injury, Ma Manager came to his aid by cooking dinner for him, but the dishes she prepared were entirely unappetizing. She proudly announced that because of her "heart of gold," she cooked for him and expected gratitude, suggesting that in her "gorgeous" company, anything would taste remarkable.
Gong Chen, however, retorted by asking why he was injured in the first place, teasing her by saying she had calcium deficiency and was no longer young. Ma Manager indignantly denied being old, claiming to be in her prime, leading Gong Chen to mock her for using such a phrase. As it grew late, Gong Chen suggested she go home. Ma Manager responded that she only dined with people of class and good looks, then left.
Gong Chen, left alone with the inedible food, secretly acknowledged to himself that he had actually recovered from his injury but had chosen to conceal it from her. An Ning and Xia Tian were trying on clothes when An Ning's mother presented her with another blind date opportunity, pushing An Ning to wear the new clothes for it. Elsewhere, Min'er, determined to identify her "Prince Charming" from a photo, asked a stable staff member about the man in the picture. She learned that the horse, "Cucumber," formerly named "General," belonged to Long Haoqian, President of Long Teng Group, confirming her crush's identity. Yi Mingjun visited Xia Tian on her film set, having taken a day off. He expressed jealousy over William, a co-star Xia Tian praised for his professional demeanor and humility.
Yi Mingjun dismissed William, claiming Xia Tian was "the best in the world." Suddenly, Xia Tian received an urgent phone call about her mother's hospitalization. Yi Mingjun immediately accompanied her. At the hospital, Xia Tian worried about her mother's recurring health issues and missing work.
