Ye Muqi confronted him directly, asking if he was hiding something. Xue Xiaodong hesitated, mistakenly believing she had discovered his feelings for her. Just as he gathered the courage to confess, he was abruptly interrupted by Zhu Shanqi. Xue Xiaodong’s expression changed to embarrassment, and he stammered. He also pointed out that the paints for the blackboard newspaper had been left in the classroom for days, easily accessible. Although unconvinced, Ye Muqi had to admit Liao Danyi’s reasoning was sound and his evidence strong. She turned to Yuan Ke'er and asked if she was truly the one who drew the graffiti.
